Jharkhand Flying Institute (JFI), a society registered under the Cabinet Secretariat & Vigilance (Civil Aviation Division), Government of Jharkhand, has released advertisement JFI/Employment-25/2025-429 dated 23.05.2026 for 7 different aviation posts. The duty stations are JFI Ranchi (Birsa Munda Airport) and JFI Dumka (Dumka Airport). Selected candidates will be engaged on contractual basis. Both fresh graduates with aviation training and experienced aviation professionals can apply.

Who Can Apply?

ATM Incharge-cum-Liaison Officer (Rs. 65,000)

• Graduate
• Knowledge of Computer + ADCA certificate
• Hindi and English typing certificate
• Ramp Officer certificate (handling pax on ramp)
• Liaison-cum-Security Incharge certificate at any airport
• AVSEC training
• Minimum 3 years experience in aviation

Aeromodelling Instructor (Rs. 60,000)

• Graduate
• 5 years on-the-job aeromodelling assignment
• NCC Air Wing "C" Certificate holder
• Proficiency in writing/speaking English and Hindi
• Skill in building aircraft like 2 Line Glider, Control line Engine model, Free Flight engine model and Radio control flying model
• Ability to do aerobatics on control line engine models and repair damaged aero models

Winch Operator-cum-Fire Safety Incharge (Rs. 55,000)

• Graduate
• Experience of at least 2000 winch launches
• Experience in fire fighting system and controlling AMC
• Minimum 3 years experience in the relevant field

Airfield Base Coordinator (Rs. 45,000)

• Graduate
• At least 1 year experience in aviation industry
• Experience in traffic handling at uncontrolled airfields

Assistant Manager - Airport Services (Rs. 35,000)

• Graduate
• At least 5 years experience in aviation industry

Breath Analyzer Paramedics (Rs. 20,000)

• Trained Paramedics
• Emergency Medical Technician or B.Sc Nursing from recognised institution
• 3 years aviation experience certificate

Flight Clerk (Ranchi & Dumka)

• Intermediate (12th) + 5 years Flight clerk experience in aviation training
• Knowledge of Flight entry recording and preparing flying log sheet and meteorological data
• Preferably holding an aviation licence PL(G)

Age Limit

• ATM Incharge / Airfield Base Coordinator / Breath Analyzer Paramedics: up to 35 years
• Aeromodelling Instructor / Flight Clerk: up to 45 years
• Assistant Manager (Airport Services): up to 50 years
• Winch Operator-cum-Fire Safety Incharge: up to 58 years
• Age relaxation is applicable as per Jharkhand State Government rules

Salary

• ATM Incharge-cum-Liaison Officer: Rs. 65,000 per month
• Aeromodelling Instructor: Rs. 60,000 per month
• Winch Operator-cum-Fire Safety Incharge: Rs. 55,000 per month
• Airfield Base Coordinator: Rs. 45,000 per month
• Assistant Manager (Airport Services): Rs. 35,000 per month
• Breath Analyzer Paramedics: Rs. 20,000 per month
• Flight Clerk: As per Finance Department Level-4 lumpsum monthly emoluments
• All posts are on contractual basis

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Screening of Applications: Shortlisting based on qualification, experience and aviation credentials submitted
2. Selection Process / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called on scheduled dates for the selection process
3. Document Verification: Original certificates, experience proofs and licences will be verified at the time of interview

No written exam. The Managing Director, JFI reserves the right to cancel/postpone the notice and increase or decrease the number of posts.

• Handle ATM (Air Traffic Management) operations, ramp coordination and liaison work at JFI airports for the ATM Incharge role
• Conduct aeromodelling training, build and maintain glider and engine model aircraft for the Instructor role
• Operate winch launches for gliders and supervise airfield fire safety systems for the Winch Operator role
• Coordinate base operations and uncontrolled airfield traffic handling for the Base Coordinator role
• Manage day-to-day airport service operations and aviation industry coordination for the Assistant Manager role
• Conduct breath analyser tests and provide emergency medical support to flight crew for the Paramedic role
• Maintain flight entry records, flying log sheets and meteorological data for the Flight Clerk role
• Follow DGCA safety guidelines, JFI rules and aviation training protocols at Ranchi/Dumka stations
