ISI Project Linked Person Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata has released Advertisement No. PU/507/ADV/467 dated 09 June 2026 for one temporary Project Linked Person post. The selected person will work on the project Synchrony and Turnover in a Changing Climate: A Theory-to-Data Framework for Ecological Forecasting. This is a research role for candidates with strong quantitative skills, programming ability, and interest in ecological forecasting.

ISI is an autonomous body funded by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Government of India. The post is placed in the Agricultural and Ecological Research Unit, Kolkata. Essential Qualification

• Maximum age should not exceed 35 years as on 5 July 2026.
• Age relaxation: Usual relaxation is available for SC, ST, OBC, Women, and differently abled candidates as per Government of India rules.
• Experience relaxation: Age may be relaxed for exceptionally bright candidates with relevant experience.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• No other allowances are payable for this post.
• The appointment is initially up to 31 March 2027 from the date of joining.
• The tenure may be extended later or terminated earlier based on performance and availability of project funds.

Selection Process

The selection process can include a written test and an online interview, depending on the number of applicants.

2. Written Test, if required: A subject-area test may be held to shortlist candidates for interview.
3. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview, and details will be sent by email.
4. Document and Medical Verification: At joining, selected candidates must show original documents and a medical fitness certificate from the Institute Medical Officer.

Selection note: Meeting the essential qualification does not guarantee selection. The number of candidates called for written test or interview will be decided by the selection committee.
