DHFWS Purba Bardhaman TBHV, STS and STLS Recruitment 2026: Overview

The District Health and Family Welfare Samity (DHFWS), Purba Bardhaman, together with the Office of the Chief Medical Officer of Health, is hiring field and laboratory supervisors for the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) in the district. The notice covers three posts: Tuberculosis Health Visitor (TBHV), Senior Treatment Supervisor (STS) and Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisor (STLS). It is a fresh recruitment that replaces an earlier TBHV and STS process the district cancelled on orders of the Mission Director, NHM. All three are contractual engagements, not regular government posts.

Posts and Disciplines

• Tuberculosis Health Visitor (TBHV): for science graduates who have already worked as an MPW, LHV, ANM or Health Worker and hold a short computer-operations certificate. MPW training earns extra marks.
• Senior Treatment Supervisor (STS): for science graduates who are comfortable with MS Word and Excel and can ride a two-wheeler. An MSW and experience in a national health programme give you an edge.
• Senior Tuberculosis Laboratory Supervisor (STLS): for graduates with a DMLT or BMLT from a government-recognised institution, computer skills and a two-wheeler licence. Experience in a national health programme is preferred.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Residence: You must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Language: You must be able to read, write and speak Bengali.
• Two-wheeler: STS and STLS candidates need a permanent two-wheeler driving licence and must actually be able to ride one.
• Experience certificates: Experience counts only after you earned the essential qualification. The certificate must show the post, employer, your name, date of joining and date of leaving — an appointment letter alone is not accepted. Private-sector experience scores lower and may need salary statements as proof.
• Contract length: The first engagement lasts up to March 2027 and can be renewed only on satisfactory performance and approval.
• Skipping a stage: If you miss any stage of the process, you are disqualified without further notice.

Application Submission Notes

You apply only through the online recruitment section of the West Bengal Health portal. If you applied for the same post before and see "Duplicate Registration !", the notice asks you to type your first name twice in the first-name field; the record is corrected at document verification.

Keep the printout from the portal's Application Print option, along with your NEFT deposit copy (with UTR number) or online-payment receipt. No postal copy is needed. The provisional list and verification notice will appear on purbabardhaman.nic.in and wbhealth.gov.in.

Corrigenda and Notices

• Earlier notice cancelled: The TBHV and STS process under recruitment notice 1082/DH&FWS/II-13 dated 22 December 2025 has been cancelled. If you applied then, you need to apply again under this notice.
