Indian Bank has released its official advertisement for the Recruitment of Specialist Officers 2026-27. The bank is looking for skilled professionals at three officer scales — Scale I (Assistant Manager), Scale II (Manager), and Scale III (Senior Manager) across 31 different post categories. Who Can Apply?

The qualifications vary by post. Here are the key requirements:

IT Department Posts (Scale II)

You need a 4-year Engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related fields, OR a Post Graduate degree in the same, OR NIELIT 'B' Level. Each IT post also requires specific certifications — for example, VMware certification for DC Operations, CISSP/CISA for Security, Oracle OCA for DBA, and CCNA for Network Operations. You must have minimum 3 years of IT experience with at least 2 years in the specific domain.

Credit & Finance Posts

Manager-Credit/Finance (Scale II): Graduation in any discipline + MBA (Finance) / MMS in Finance / PGDBA / PGDBM in Finance, with 2 years of experience in credit/finance roles at a bank. Senior Manager (Scale III): Same qualification + 4 years of experience in corporate credit processing at a Scheduled Bank.

Financial Analyst Posts

You need CA (ICAI) or ICMA or CFA qualification. Manager level needs 2 years and Senior Manager needs 4 years of experience in credit processing at banks.

Chartered Accountant

Must be a Member of ICAI with 1 year of experience in Accounts & Finance / Taxation / IndAS.

Risk Management Posts

Qualifications range from CA, CFA, Master's in Mathematics/Statistics to B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science depending on the specific role, with 3-5 years of experience.

Forex & Treasury Posts

Graduate degree (full time/regular) with 3 years of experience in treasury operations at banks/financial institutions.

Wealth Management

Graduate + 2-year MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM with specialization in Marketing/Wealth Management, plus NISM and IRDAI certifications (mandatory).

• Manager-HR: Graduate + PG degree/diploma in Personnel Management / HR / Labour Law with 2 years HR experience
• Manager-Marketing: Graduate + Master's in MBA/Business Management with digital marketing certifications and 3 years experience
• AM-Security: Graduate + Junior Commissioned Officer or Police Sub Inspector with 5 years service

Salary

Indian Bank offers competitive salary based on the officer scale:

• Scale I (Assistant Manager): Rs. 48,480 - 85,920 per month (basic pay)
• Scale II (Manager): Rs. 64,820 - 93,960 per month (basic pay)
• Scale III (Senior Manager): Rs. 85,920 - 1,05,280 per month (basic pay)

In addition, you will get DA, CCA, HRA, Leased accommodation, Leave Fare Concession, Medical Aid, Hospitalization Benefits, Retirement Benefits, and other allowances as per bank rules and industry-level settlements.

Application Fee

• SC/ST/PwBD: Rs. 175 (inclusive of GST) — intimation charges only
• All Others (General/OBC/EWS): Rs. 1,000 (inclusive of GST)

Fee payment can be made online only (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI) from 08 April to 28 April 2026. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The bank will use one of two selection methods depending on the number of applications:

1. Shortlisting of applications followed by Interview, OR
2. Written/Online Test followed by Interview

If a written test is held, here is the exam pattern:

• Negative marking: 1/4th of the marks for each wrong answer. No penalty for unanswered questions.
• Interview marks: 100
• Weightage: Written Test 80% + Interview 20% (if both are held)
• Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General/EWS, 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD (in both test and interview separately)

4. Upload your photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm, 20-50 KB), signature (10-20 KB), left thumb impression (20-50 KB), and handwritten declaration (50-100 KB) as per specifications.
5. Click "Complete Registration" after verifying all details.
6. Go to the "Payment" tab and pay the application fee online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
7. Take a printout of the e-Receipt and completed application form for your records.
