India AI Division (DIC) Assistant Manager - HR Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

The India AI Independent Business Division, set up under Digital India Corporation by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has released Advt. No. INDAI/14/2025-INDAI for 2 Assistant Manager - HR positions on a purely contractual / consolidated basis. An MBA in HR is desirable, and prior HR experience in a Government or NGO setup is preferred. The role reports to the Senior Manager - HR and supports the IndiaAI Mission's seven-pillar AI ecosystem.

Salary

  • The position is on Contract / Consolidated basis as per IndiaAI policy.

Selection Process

Selection is in two stages with no written exam:

  1. Application Screening: Screening will be done based on qualifications, age, academic record and relevant experience. IndiaAI may set higher thresholds to limit the number of candidates called for interview.
  2. Personal Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews. India AI reserves the right not to select any candidate without giving any reason.
  3. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of interview.

Note: Maximum age will be considered as on the last date of application. Designation will be mapped as per IndiaAI's approved policy.

Responsibilities

  • Source and hire top talent across diverse IndiaAI teams; draft job descriptions and postings
  • Screen, shortlist, and schedule interview rounds and coordinate with panel members
  • Handle document verification, salary negotiation and drafting of offer and contract letters
  • Manage onboarding formalities including ID cards, email IDs and joining paperwork
  • Maintain employee, recruitment and leave databases and prepare attendance and payroll inputs
  • Process probation confirmations, contract renewals and annual appraisal cycles
  • Drive employee engagement, address grievances and ensure compliance with labour laws
  • Handle exit management, full and final settlement, and assist in HR policy formulation
