IITD Senior Project Assistant (Admin) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) is hiring a Senior Project Assistant (Admin.) through its Industrial Research & Development (IRD) Unit for a research project in the School of Biological Sciences. The project, "Developing Predictive Models for druglikeness of small molecules" (RP04415G_SN), is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India and led by Prof. Ashok Kumar Patel.

This is an administrative support role inside a science project, not a lab job. If you are a graduate who has spent several years handling project paperwork, accounts, documentation and coordination with funding agencies, this post at the Hauz Khas, New Delhi campus lets you use that experience in a research setting.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of appointment: Contractual, on consolidated pay, renewable yearly or up to the duration of the project, whichever is earlier. The project currently runs up to 28 November 2027.
• Experience must be relevant: Your five years should be in project administration, management support, accounting, documentation or training. Knowledge of research project workflow and work with funding agencies and government departments is required.
• Marks relaxation: SC/ST candidates may get a 5% relaxation in marks.
• Retired employees: If a retired or superannuated government employee is selected, the salary is fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.

• Open to: Indian nationals only.
