Incubation Centre, IIT Patna Project Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

Incubation Centre IIT Patna (Ref: ICIITP/Rect/2026/003 dated 13.06.2026), located at Amhara Road, Bihta, Patna, has invited applications from Indian nationals for 3 Project Fellow positions to support its project activities at the district level. The Incubation Centre works on innovation and outreach projects and is looking for well-qualified, energetic, and motivated individuals to join its team. Incubation Centres at institutes like IIT Patna typically run field-level programs in partnership with government schemes and corporate CSR initiatives, and Project Fellows are the frontline staff who make sure these programs are properly implemented, monitored, and documented at the district level. These are contractual posts for 1 year or till the end of the project, whichever comes first, with a chance of extension based on performance, availability of funds, or project needs as decided by the management. This role suits fresh graduates or those with up to a couple of years of field/CSR experience who want hands-on exposure to project coordination, community engagement, and data management work at the grassroots level. Since the role involves regular travel to project sites, you should be comfortable working both from the office and in the field.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: Graduation in any discipline with First Division.
  • Experience: 0-1 years of work experience required (the notice also mentions 0-2 years of experience in similar schemes as useful); experience in CSR funding schemes is an added advantage.
  • Skills: Good people management and coordination skills, strong written and verbal communication in English and Hindi, and the ability to work on MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Nature of Work: You should be comfortable with field visits, data collection, and coordinating with beneficiaries, community stakeholders, and government departments at the district level.
  • Who Should Apply: This role is well suited for recent graduates who want to build a career in project management, development work, or CSR, and who enjoy working directly with communities rather than in a purely desk-based role.
  • Documents Ready: Keep scanned copies of your mark sheets, degree certificate, and experience letters (if any) ready before you start filling in your application, as you will need to attach them.

Age Limit

  • You should be under 32 years of age as on the last date of application.

Salary

  • Selected Project Fellows will get a fixed stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month.
  • This is a consolidated stipend and does not include separate allowances unless mentioned at the time of joining.

Selection Process

The selection process has the following stages:

  1. Application Screening: Your application must be in the prescribed format and must clearly mention the position applied for, either in the application heading or the email subject line.
  2. Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or interview. The date and mode will be shared by email and posted on the Incubation Centre website and the IIT Patna website. If there are a large number of applications, the committee may call only the best applications for this stage.

The decision of the selection committee is final in all matters related to this recruitment. There is no fixed written exam pattern for this post, so focus on presenting your experience and skills clearly in your resume and application. Keep your phone and email accessible around the closing date, since shortlisted candidates are usually contacted quickly once the screening is complete.

How to Apply

  1. Prepare your application in the prescribed format, clearly mentioning the position (Project Fellow) in the heading or email subject line.
  2. Attach your updated resume, scanned proof of experience and qualification, and a passport size photograph.
  3. Email your complete application to career_ic@iitp.ac.in.
  4. If you want to apply for more than one position at the Incubation Centre, submit a separate application for each one, clearly indicating the position applied for in each.
  5. Applications that are incomplete, not in the prescribed format, or that do not clearly mention the position applied for will not be considered for further processing.
  6. Keep checking www.iciitp.com or www.iitp.ac.in (under Incubation Centre) for updates on shortlisting and the test/interview schedule.

Important Dates

  • Notification Date: 13 June 2026
