Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is hiring a Research Assistant for its India-Japan Centre on Climate and Culture (IJCCC) at the Kozhikode campus in Kerala. The centre links climate, culture and international collaboration as part of the institute's plan to take Indian thought to a global audience. This is a contract post tied to a research project, not a regular institute job.

The role suits someone with a computer science background who also enjoys research work. Alongside data collection and analysis, you will build and maintain software tools for the project, so coding skills matter as much as your degree. If you hold an M.Sc in Computer Science or an MCA and want to work inside an IIM research centre, this is a good place to start.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: The engagement is purely contractual for an initial six months. Any extension depends on the project's needs and your performance.
• Consolidated pay: The monthly amount is a fixed consolidated figure, so do not expect separate allowances on top.
• Certificate check: If you are selected, your certificates and experience are verified at joining, and the offer depends on that check.
• Shortlisting: Only shortlisted applicants are called for the skill test or interview, and time slots are sent by e-mail.
• Canvassing: Any canvassing or outside influence, political or otherwise, disqualifies you automatically.
• Final decision: The Director of IIMK has the final word on selection.
