The Indian Institute of Geomagnetism (IIG) is a research institute looking for skilled, proactive people to support its operations, science outreach, and legal work. There are 5 Young Professional positions open, each in a different domain. All roles are based at the Panvel Campus, Navi Mumbai and are purely contractual. Who Can Apply?

Each post has its own qualification. You need at least 2 years of relevant experience for all roles.

Public Relations (Outreach & Media)

• PG Degree or PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, Public Relations, or Media Science
• Minimum 2 years experience

Legal

• Degree in Law from a recognised university
• Minimum 2 years experience

Scientific Research

• Master's Degree in Physics, Geophysics, Geology, Atmospheric Sciences, or Physical Sciences with at least 60% marks
• 2 years of research experience in the relevant subject after the Master's degree

Technical

• Master's Degree in Instrumentation, Physics, Applied Physics, or Geophysics with at least 55% marks
• Minimum 2 years experience in a research organisation in the relevant field

Administration

• Master's in Business Administration (HR or Finance) or Public Administration
• Minimum 2 years experience in a Government organisation in the relevant field

Salary

• These are contract-based positions.
• The consolidated salary is based on the role and performance (exact amount not stated in the notice).
