Integral Coach Factory (ICF) Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 1010 Posts

ICF Chennai, a production unit of Indian Railways under the Skill India initiative, has released Notification No. APP/01/2026-2027 (dated 8 August 2026) to engage 1,010 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and RBE Circular No. 120/2015. The slots are split between fresh Class 10 pass-outs and Ex-ITI candidates holding a National or State Trade Certificate, across trades like Carpenter, Electrician, Fitter, Machinist, Painter, Welder, and Medical Lab Technician (Radiology/Pathology). Preference is given to candidates from Tamil Nadu — you must be a resident of, or registered with, a local employment exchange in the state. Training normally lasts one year for trades like Fitter, Electrician, and Machinist. Candidates who withdraw from training without valid reason, or who wilfully stay absent, are liable to refund the full training cost and any stipend already paid. This is purely a training opportunity, not a job offer, but it gives you hands-on trade experience and a recognised certificate.
