ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (ICAR-CRRI) Graduate Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

ICAR-Central Rice Research Institute (ICAR-CRRI), Cuttack, has notified a walk-in interview for the post of Graduate Assistant (GA) under the project "Assessing the water productivity, GHG emission, yield and economics of rice-based cropping systems under transplanted and direct seeded rice" (EAP-402). This is a purely temporary, project-based position co-terminus with the scheme. The selected candidate will work on field-based research activities, data collection and analysis at ICAR-CRRI Cuttack. There is no online application process — you need to appear in person on the interview date.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Graduation in any of the following disciplines: Agriculture, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Environmental Science from a recognised university

Desirable Qualification

• M.Sc. with CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship) qualification in Botany or Environmental Science

Other Requirements

• If you are currently employed, you must bring a No Objection Certificate from your current employer
• Download and fill the biodata form from the ICAR-CRRI website before appearing for the interview

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 55 years (as on date of interview — 05 May 2026)
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, and OBC candidates get age relaxation as per Government of India norms

Salary

• Selected candidate will get Rs. 24,000 per month (consolidated pay — no separate allowances)
• The position is co-terminus with the project (up to 31 December 2027 or till project completion, whichever is earlier)
• No TA or DA will be paid for attending the interview

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

Selection is through a walk-in interview in up to 3 stages:

1. Screening Test (if applicable): If a large number of candidates appear, a written screening test may be conducted first to shortlist candidates for the interview.
2. Written-cum-Personal Interview: All eligible candidates (or shortlisted ones) will appear for a combined written and personal interview on 05 May 2026 at 10:30 AM. No candidate will be entertained after the specified time.
3. Document Verification: Original educational certificates from matriculation onwards and experience certificates must be produced at the time of the interview.

No TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
