NMDFC Company Secretary Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC), a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Minority Affairs, is recruiting a Company Secretary cum Chief Manager (Corporate Services) through direct recruitment. NMDFC is a Section 8 company that supports income generation and self-employment among notified minority communities, with particular attention to artisans and women. This role sits close to the corporation's board and senior management, so it combines statutory company-secretarial work with coordination across government, audit and finance bodies. The appointment carries all-India transfer liability, making it best suited to an experienced company secretary who is comfortable working in a public-sector environment.

The post is responsible for keeping the corporation's governance work aligned with the Companies Act, NMDFC's Articles of Association and Memorandum of Association. Your work will connect board decisions, annual meetings, government reporting and legal documentation. Experience from a government body, PSU, bank, insurer, statutory organisation or a suitably senior private-sector role can be considered, but NMDFC will decide whether the earlier scale and duties are equivalent to its prescribed executive grades. That equivalence decision is final, so applicants should describe their reporting level and actual work clearly in the form.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Citizenship and mobility: only Indian nationals can apply, and the selected officer may be posted or transferred anywhere in India according to NMDFC's needs.
  • Public-sector applicants: employees of government, quasi-government bodies and PSUs must produce a No Objection Certificate along with vigilance and disciplinary clearance when called. Without these clearances, NMDFC can refuse entry to the personal interview.
  • Unreserved vacancy: the advertised seat is unreserved. Reserved-community applicants may compete, but the notice does not extend community-based relaxation against this seat; only relaxations separately allowed under the applicable government rules remain available.
  • PwBD suitability: the work has been identified as suitable for eligible candidates in the orthopaedic or locomotor-disability category, subject to the benchmark-disability certificate and functional conditions stated in the notice.
  • Internal applicants: confirmed NMDFC employees are considered only for the grade immediately above their present post and must have sufficient service left before retirement. The notice also restricts reconsideration after a recent rejection for a similar position.
  • Communication: recruitment updates will be sent through the registered email or mobile number and may also appear on the NMDFC website. Keep both active throughout screening and interview scheduling.
  • Management discretion: NMDFC may change or cancel the recruitment, and it may examine equivalence of experience, pay scales or private-sector CTC in exceptional cases. Meeting the minimum conditions does not guarantee an interview call.
  • Language of record: if the English and Hindi versions differ, the English advertisement will prevail.
