The ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (ICAR-CIRB), Hisar (Haryana) has released Advertisement No. Estt./CIRB/11/2026 inviting applications for 5 Young Professional positions — both YP-I and YP-II — across different divisions of the institute. The positions are purely temporary and contractual, filled on a need basis initially for a period of one year. These engagements are co-terminus with the activity or as per the need — they do not lead to regular employment in ICAR. Freshers with the right degree can apply directly.

Who Can Apply?

Item 1 — YP-II (AKMU Section)

• Essential (Option A): Graduate with at least 60% marks in Computer Application / Information Technology / Computer Science with 1 year experience in the relevant field.
• Essential (Option B): Master's degree in Computer Application / Information Technology / Computer Science.
• Desirable: Two years' experience in Networking, creating and maintaining hardware and software infrastructure.

Item 2 — YP-II (Director Personal Section)

• Essential (Option A): Graduate with at least 60% marks in Computer Application / IT / Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Operating Systems / Software Engineering / Computer Graphics with 1 year experience in the relevant field.
• Essential (Option B): Master's degree in Computer Application / IT / Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence / Operating Systems / Software Engineering / Computer Graphics.

Item 3 — YP-I (Animal Health Section)

• Essential: Graduate in Biological Sciences — B.V.Sc / B.Sc Microbiology / B.Sc Biotechnology / B.Sc Life Sciences from a recognised university.

Item 4 — YP-II (Animal Health Section)

• Essential: Master's degree in Microbiology / Environmental Microbiology / BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry).

Item 5 — YP-II (Social Science Research & Capacity Development Unit)

• Essential: M.Sc in Agriculture Extension / Agriculture Economics / Agriculture Statistics / Agriculture Business Management / Livestock Production & Management.
• Desirable: One year experience in data collecting, entry and analysis, and fluency in English & Hindi typing.

Age Limit

• You must be between 21 and 45 years old as on 01 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Young Professional-II (Items 1, 2, 4, 5): Rs. 42,000 per month (consolidated). No other allowances are admissible.
• Young Professional-I (Item 3): Rs. 30,000 per month (consolidated). No other allowances are admissible.
• These are purely contractual positions — DA, HRA, and other standard allowances are not applicable.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for these posts. Selection is done in the following stages:

1. Shortlisting of Applications: Applications will be screened based on academic performance and qualifications. Only candidates who clearly meet the eligibility criteria and attach all required documents will be shortlisted.
2. Panel Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email to appear for a panel interview at ICAR-CIRB, Hisar. Only candidates called for interview may appear — walk-ins are not permitted.
3. Document Verification: Selected candidates must bring original documents at the time of interview. A medical fitness check is mandatory before joining.

• Assist scientists and senior researchers in day-to-day laboratory or field research activities at ICAR-CIRB
• Collect, enter, and analyse data as assigned by the division head or project leader
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of research findings and project progress
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, computers, and related instruments as required
• Support preparation of research reports, presentations, and project deliverables
• Handle data management, digital records, and IT-related tasks as applicable to the assigned section
• Follow institute rules, safety guidelines, and the ICAR Standards of Conduct at all times
• Complete allotted work within specified timelines and attend office during regular working hours
