IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment 2026

Indian Air Force (IAF) has opened online registration for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027 under the Agnipath Scheme. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates with 10+2, engineering diploma or eligible vocational qualification can apply online. Registration starts on 6 July 2026 and closes on 26 July 2026. The Agniveer package starts at Rs. 30,000 per month and goes up to Rs. 40,000 per month during the four-year engagement.

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment 2026 - Intake 02/2027

Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the advertisement for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2027. This selection test is for Agniveervayu service under the Agnipath Scheme, not for commissioned officer, pilot, navigator or regular airman entry at the start. The engagement period is four years, and up to 25% of a specific batch may later get an opportunity for regular cadre enrolment as per IAF policy and service requirement.

Who Can Apply?

For Science Subjects

• 10+2 route: You must have passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English.
• Marks: You need at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
• Diploma route: You can also apply with a 3-year Engineering Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology or Information Technology with 50% aggregate and 50% English.
• Vocational route: A 2-year vocational course with non-vocational Physics and Mathematics is also accepted with the required English marks.

For Other Than Science Subjects

• 10+2 route: You must have passed Intermediate/10+2/equivalent in any stream or subject.
• Marks: You need 50% aggregate marks and 50% marks in English.
• Vocational route: A 2-year vocational course is accepted with 50% aggregate and required English marks.

Other Conditions

• Marital status: Only unmarried Indian male and female candidates can apply.
• Service condition: You must agree not to marry during the four-year engagement period.
• Domicile: You must select and later produce the required Domicile Certificate or COAFP certificate for the chosen category.
• Female candidates: Pregnancy during selection or service conditions can affect candidature as per the notification.

Age Limit

• Date of birth block: You must be born between 1 July 2005 and 1 January 2010, both dates included.
• Upper age at enrolment: If you clear all selection stages, your age on the date of enrolment should not exceed 22 years.

Salary

• 1st year package: Rs. 30,000 per month, with Rs. 21,000 in-hand and Rs. 9,000 corpus contribution.
• 2nd year package: Rs. 33,000 per month, with Rs. 23,100 in-hand and Rs. 9,900 corpus contribution.
• 3rd year package: Rs. 36,500 per month, with Rs. 25,550 in-hand and Rs. 10,950 corpus contribution.
• 4th year package: Rs. 40,000 per month, with Rs. 28,000 in-hand and Rs. 12,000 corpus contribution.
• Allowances: Risk and hardship allowance, dress allowance, travel allowance, ration, clothing, accommodation, medical facility and CSD facility are available as per rules.
• Seva Nidhi: After four years, the approximate Seva Nidhi package is Rs. 10.04 lakh, excluding interest.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates

• Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm.
• Chest: Minimum chest circumference is 77 cm with at least 5 cm expansion.
• Run: 1.6 km run within 7 minutes.
• PFT-II: 10 push-ups in 1 minute, 10 sit-ups in 1 minute and 20 squats in 1 minute, with prescribed breaks.

For Female Candidates

• Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm. Relaxed minimums apply for North East, hilly Uttarakhand and Lakshadweep candidates as mentioned in the notice.
• Chest: Minimum range of expansion is 5 cm.
• Run: 1.6 km run within 8 minutes.
• PFT-II: 10 sit-ups in 1 minute 30 seconds and 15 squats in 1 minute, with prescribed breaks.

Application Fee

• Examination Fee: Rs. 550 plus 18% GST.
• Payment mode: Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card or UPI through the payment gateway.
• Refund: The fee is non-refundable after successful payment.

Selection Process

The Agniveervayu selection process has three broad phases plus final merit and enrolment checks.

1. Phase-I Online Test: Objective online test. Science candidates get 60 minutes, Other Than Science candidates get 45 minutes, and candidates appearing for both get 85 minutes.
2. Phase-II Physical Fitness Test: Shortlisted candidates have to clear PFT-I and PFT-II, followed by Adaptability Test-I and Adaptability Test-II.
3. Document Verification: Original education, domicile, COAFP, NCC and other required documents are checked before and during Phase-II.
4. Phase-III Medical Examination: Candidates who clear Adaptability Test-II undergo medical examination by the Air Force Medical Team.
5. Provisional Select List and Enrolment List: State-wise merit, medical fitness, available vacancies and age conditions are used before enrolment.

2. Register with your email ID and mobile number.
3. Login and complete personal, communication, qualification and declaration details.
4. Upload your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, parent/guardian signature if required and live image as instructed.
5. Preview all details carefully before final submission.
6. Pay the Rs. 550 plus 18% GST examination fee online.
7. Print and save the submitted application form for future selection stages.

Important Dates
