Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 20,200 to Rs. 64,000 per month under Pay Level 3 of the Himachal Pradesh Pay Matrix.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Himachal Pradesh Government rules.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates (General/OBC):

• Height: 5 feet 6 inches
• Chest (unexpanded): 79 cm

Relaxation in height and chest is available for SC/ST, Gorkhas, Dogras, and other hill tribe candidates as per government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 4 stages:

1. Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Police Department to check your height, chest, and running speed.
2. Written Test: An offline objective (MCQ) exam of 90 marks for 2 hours, with negative marking, conducted by HPPSC.
3. Document Verification: Includes award of NCC certificate marks, carried out by the Police Department.
4. Medical Examination: Conducted by the Police Department after HPPSC recommends candidates.

Since the Physical Standard Test comes first, it pays to start your fitness preparation — running, height, and chest measurements — well before the exam.
