Government Teaching General Hospital (GTGH), Machilipatnam, under the Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department, Krishna District, has issued Notification No. 01/2026 for contract and outsourcing posts. These posts are for the Drug De-Addiction Center under the control of DME, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Selection is merit-based with no written exam mentioned, so your marks, relevant service experience, and reservation category will be important.

Reservation: The roster includes OC and SC points as shown in the notification. The final filling of posts will follow Andhra Pradesh reservation rules.

Who Can Apply?

Medical and Counselling Posts

• Doctor: You need MBBS with registration in the Medical Council or Medical Commission. You must undergo MOSJE/NISD training within 3 months of joining the IRCA.
• Project Coordinator cum Vocational Counsellor: You need graduation with 3 years experience in managing such centres, or clear capability to run such centres, plus computer knowledge.
• Counsellor: You need graduation in Social Sciences, preferably Social Work or Psychology, with 1 to 2 years field experience and knowledge of English and one regional language.

Support and Community Posts

• Ward Boy: You need to be 8th pass with experience in hospitals, health care centres, or de-addiction centres.
• Peer Educator: You should be literate, have 1 to 2 years sobriety, communicate well, and be ready to work for prevention of harmful drug use and relapse.
• Cook / Housekeeping: You must be able to read and write Telugu.
• Chowkidar: You must be 8th pass and able to ride a bicycle.
• Yoga Therapist / Dance / Music / Art Teacher: You need at least 3 years experience in the relevant discipline.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 42 years.
• Age is reckoned as on 31 July 2025 as stated in the age section of the notification.
• SC, ST, BC and EWS: 5 years relaxation.
• Ex-servicemen: 3 years plus length of service in the armed forces.
• Differently abled candidates: 10 years relaxation.
• Maximum age with all relaxations together is 52 years.

Salary

• Doctor: Rs. 60,000 per month.
• Project Coordinator cum Vocational Counsellor: Rs. 25,000 per month.
• Counsellor: Rs. 17,500 per month.
• Ward Boy: Rs. 13,000 per month.
• Peer Educator / Cook: Rs. 10,000 per month.
• Chowkidar / Housekeeping Work: Rs. 9,000 per month.
• Yoga Therapist / Dance / Music / Art Teacher: Rs. 5,000 per month.

Application Fee

• OC candidates: Rs. 300.
• BC / EWS candidates: Rs. 300.
• SC / ST candidates: Rs. 100.
• Physically challenged candidates: No fee.
• Payment mode: Demand draft in favour of Hospital Development Society, Govt. Teaching General Hospital Machilipatnam.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done on final general merit cum rule of reservation. The notification gives a 100-mark merit formula.

1. Qualifying Examination Marks (75 marks): Marks from all years of the required qualification are considered.
2. Government Service Weightage (up to 15 marks): Contract, outsourcing, honorarium, tribal, rural, urban, and COVID-19 service weightage is counted as per the notification rules.
3. Years Since Passing (up to 10 marks): One mark is added for each completed year after getting the required qualification, up to 10 marks.
4. Document Verification: Clear and valid certificates are required. Missing documents can lead to rejection.

5. Submit the filled form in person or by registered post to the office of Govt. Teaching General Hospital, Machilipatnam, Krishna.
6. The application must reach between 12 May 2026 and 22 May 2026 during working days. Applications after 5:00 PM on 22 May 2026 will not be accepted.
