GGH Kakinada Peer Educator Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Under Notification No. 01/2026, the Superintendent of Government General Hospital, Kakinada has invited applications for the post of Peer Educator in the Drug De-Addiction Centre (DDAC). This recruitment is done as per the directions of the Director of Medical Education (DME), Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada, and approved by the Collector and District Magistrate, Kakinada District. Salary

  • Monthly Salary: Rs. 9,000 per month (as per IRCA norms)
  • This is a fixed consolidated pay for the contract period of 1 year

Responsibilities

  • Conduct outreach and awareness drives among drug-using populations in the community
  • Assist in early identification and motivational counselling of individuals struggling with substance abuse
  • Work closely with the DDAC team to support prevention of harmful drug use
  • Follow IRCA guidelines and norms while carrying out all duties at the Drug De-Addiction Centre
  • Maintain records and reports related to peer education activities and community interventions
  • Assist in organizing rehabilitation and de-addiction programmes at the centre
  • Provide peer support and share personal recovery experiences to motivate patients towards sobriety
