Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur — a unit of Advanced Weapons and Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) under the Ministry of Defence — has released a notification to hire 5 Experts/Specialists with specialised domain knowledge for core technical work in design, manufacturing, maintenance and quality control. Specialist-I posts pay Rs. 1,75,000 per month while Specialist-II posts pay Rs. 1,25,000 per month — among the highest contractual pay levels GCF offers. Experienced engineers from the aerospace, automotive, energy or defence industries are especially encouraged to apply.

The engagement starts with a one-year contract that can be renewed yearly for up to four years in total. You will be engaged only for specific technical projects, programmes or tasks in areas like Design, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality Control and Production Engineering, and this contract does not carry any right to regularisation or absorption into a permanent role. Either side can end the engagement with one month's notice or payment in lieu, except in cases of serious misconduct where termination is immediate.

Who Can Apply?

For Specialist-I Posts (Rs. 1,75,000/month) - Metallurgical Engineering, Hydraulics & Pneumatic Systems, Control Systems:

• You need a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant field (Metallurgical Engineering/Materials Science, Mechanical/Mechatronics, or Electrical/Electronics/Control/Mechatronics).
• An M.E./M.Tech in a specialised area is preferred (Advanced Materials, Nanomaterials, Composites for Metallurgy; Control Systems specialisation for Control Systems).
• You need a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Metallurgical Engineering: you should know process design and optimisation, materials selection and failure analysis, composites/polymers/nanomaterials, heat treatment and metallurgical testing, and phase diagrams and thermodynamics.
• Hydraulics & Pneumatic Systems: you should know circuit design, selection of pumps/valves/actuators, pressure and flow calculations, contamination control, and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), with tools like Automation Studio, FluidSIM or Fluent.
• Control Systems: you should know classical and modern control theory, system modelling and simulation, PID and state-space control, and PLC/DCS/SCADA programming, with tools like MATLAB, Simulink and PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider).

For Specialist-II Posts (Rs. 1,25,000/month) - Electronics Engineering, FEA:

• You need a B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation (for Electronics post) or Mechanical/Aerospace (for FEA post).
• An M.E./M.Tech with relevant specialisation is preferred.
• You need a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
• Electronics Engineering: you should know analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, sensor interfacing, PCB schematic design, and EMI/EMC testing, using tools like Altium, OrCAD or Eagle.
• FEA: you should know linear and nonlinear structural analysis, static/dynamic/fatigue/thermal analysis, and multi-body dynamic analysis, using tools like ANSYS, SimCentre or NX.

Knowledge of ISO, ASTM, ASME, BIS and MIL standards is preferred across all 5 posts, along with experience in aerospace, automotive, energy or defence industries.

Age Limit

• You should not exceed 52 years of age as on the last date of application, for all 5 specialist posts.

Salary

• Specialist-I (Metallurgical Engineering, Hydraulics & Pneumatics, Control Systems): Rs. 1,75,000 per month (consolidated).
• Specialist-II (Electronics Engineering, FEA): Rs. 1,25,000 per month (consolidated).
• This is a fixed consolidated pay with no separate DA/HRA on top, and it stays unchanged through the tenure engagement.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Technical Evaluation (Written/Practical Test): Tests your domain knowledge in the specialisation you apply for.

3. Character & Antecedents Verification: Your background and documents are verified as per AWEIL policy.
4. Medical Fitness Test: You must submit a medical fitness certificate before joining.
