ESIC Tinsukia Senior Resident Recruitment 2026: Overview

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, is hiring Senior Residents against vacant General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) posts at ESIC Hospital, Tinsukia in Upper Assam. The hospital is using Senior Residents to fill its GDMO gaps until regular officers arrive, so this is a one-year contractual engagement that ends earlier if a regular incumbent joins. Selection is through a walk-in interview at the hospital, and your documents are checked the same morning.

The drive is aimed at MBBS doctors with a PG degree or diploma and, for the dental opening, BDS graduates with hospital experience. If you hold only an MBBS, you can still be considered when PG candidates are not available, as long as you have senior residency experience in the same discipline.

Posts and Disciplines

• Accident and Emergency: the casualty wing accepts a PG degree or diploma in any subject, which makes it the most flexible opening in this notice; PG pass-outs get preference.
• Surgery: meant for doctors with a PG degree or diploma in the surgical speciality; MBBS doctors with two years in surgery, one of them as a contractual Senior Resident, are the fallback pool.
• Dental: open to BDS graduates with two years of experience, at least one of them in the concerned speciality at a government or private hospital — work at a private clinic does not count.

Every opening in this notice is unreserved (UR), and later interview dates will be announced by the hospital only if more rounds are needed.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Security deposit: If selected, you hand over a Rs. 30,000 demand draft or banker's cheque in favour of "ESI Fund Account No. 1", payable at Tinsukia.
• Early exit penalty: If you resign or end the contract within 9 months of joining, with or without notice, the full deposit is forfeited.
• No regularisation: The engagement is purely contractual and gives you no claim to a permanent post in the hospital.
• Private practice: Not allowed in any form during the contract.
• Serving doctors: You must bring a No Objection Certificate from your current employer; this also covers doctors serving a bond.
• Reservation note: SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates applying against these unreserved vacancies get no relaxation or reservation benefit.
• Medical fitness: Your selection is final only after you prove you are medically fit.
• Number of posts: ESIC can increase, reduce or cancel the posts without giving reasons, and no TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Fill in the application form attached to the notice and email it, with your MCI/SMC registration number and contact number, to ms-tinsukia.as@esic.gov.in.

On the interview day, report for document verification between 10:00 am and 11:00 am with all original certificates and one self-attested set. Only candidates whose documents are verified are allowed into the walk-in interview. The venue is tentatively ESIC Hospital, Sector-2, Bordoloi Nagar, Tinsukia, Assam 786125, though the hospital may shift it if many applicants turn up.
