ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Namkum, Ranchi (Jharkhand) is hiring 78 Teaching Faculty and Senior Resident posts on a contract basis through a walk-in interview in the fourth week of April 2026. You can earn a consolidated pay of up to Rs. 1,23,100 per month as Professor at Level 13 of the 7th CPC. The posts are spread across 25 medical specialties covering Anaesthesiology, Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics and more.

You need a postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty and must be registered with NMC (erstwhile MCI) or any State Medical Council. There is no written exam — selection is purely through interview performance before the ESIC Selection Board. The last date to submit your application is 18 April 2026.

ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Namkum, Ranchi has released Advertisement No. 03 of 2026 dated 30 March 2026 for filling 78 contractual posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and Senior Resident. As per the corrigendum dated 09 April 2026, the original last date of 09.04.2026 has been extended to 18 April 2026, and the tentative interview has been rescheduled to the fourth week of April 2026.

The contract runs for 1 year, extendable every year up to a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance. The maximum tenure of engagement will be till attainment of 70 years of age. Who Can Apply?

Teaching Faculty (Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor)

• Qualification: As per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines dated 30.06.2025.
• Required degrees: MBBS with MD/MS/DNB in the relevant specialty.
• Registration: You must be registered with MCI/NMC or any State Medical Council (updated).
• Experience: Requisite teaching and patient care experience as per NMC norms for each level.

Senior Resident

• Qualification: PG Degree or Diploma — MD / MS / DNB in the concerned specialty from a recognised university.
• You must fulfill all NMC statutory requirements.
• Valid registration with MCI/NMC or any State Medical Council is mandatory.

Age Limit (as on Date of Interview)

• Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Age not exceeding 69 years
• Senior Resident (most departments): Age not exceeding 45 years
• Senior Resident (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine): Age not exceeding 50 years
• Age relaxation: As per prevailing norms of Government of India (GoI)
• Reference date: Age will be counted as on the date of walk-in interview (Fourth week of April 2026)

Salary & Allowances

• Professor: Rs. 1,23,100/- per month at Level 13 of 7th CPC + other allowances as admissible by ESIC
• Associate Professor: Rs. 78,800/- per month at Level 12 of 7th CPC + other allowances
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 67,700/- per month at Level 11 of 7th CPC + other allowances
• Senior Resident: Rs. 67,700/- per month at Level 11 of 7th CPC + other allowances
• Pay as per Medical Administration HQRS Office Memorandum No. Z-17/11/1/2007/Med/IV dated 13.04.2022 and Z-11012/51/2022-Med VI dated 08.12.2022
• Retired officers/pensioners: Can draw total consolidated pay without any deduction — pension from previous employment continues during contractual engagement
• No other service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, TA/DA/Leave for conference will be admissible

Selection Process

Selection is purely based on acquired academic credentials and interview performance — there is no written exam.

2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted by the Selection Board at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Purulia Road, Namkum, Ranchi 834010 in the fourth week of April 2026. 3. Selection: Made on the basis of your interview performance before the Selection Board
