ESIC Bikaner Senior/Junior Resident Recruitment 2026 - 5 Posts

The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, has released notification F.NO: 155/A/ESICH-BKN/REC/ADMN/2023-1 dated 10 April 2026 for engagement of 5 Senior/Junior Residents against vacant GDMO (General Duty Medical Officer) posts at ESIC Hospital, Jaisalmer Road, Bikaner - 334001. All appointments are purely contractual for 44 days, extendable for another 44 days after a break, or until the regular Junior Resident / Bond JR joins duty — whichever is earlier.

Who Can Apply?

• Essential Qualification: You need an MBBS degree from a recognised institution with experience in any discipline
• Preference: Candidates holding a PG Degree, PG Diploma or DNB will be preferred over plain MBBS candidates
• Medical Council Registration: Valid registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council is mandatory before joining
• Special Preference: Candidates who have previously worked in ESIC and are well-versed with the online Dhanwantri module will be given preference
• Candidates with PG degree in General Medicine or Accident & Emergency will be given additional preference since duties involve emergency and IPD floor coverage
• If currently employed, you must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer

Age Limit

• The notification does not specify a strict upper age limit for this 44-day contract engagement
• Your age, qualification and other eligibility will be reckoned as on the date of interview - 21 April 2026
• Standard ESIC rules for contractual GDMO engagements will apply

Salary

• Consolidated Remuneration: Rs. 1,21,048 per month (for one month)
• For the remaining period of the 44-day contract, salary is paid on pro-rata basis
• Remuneration is revised from time to time as per ESIC HQ instructions
• Earned Leave: 1 earned leave for each month of work on pro-rata basis
• No TA/DA is payable for attending the walk-in interview or for joining
• No accommodation: Hostel or quarters will not be provided for contractual residents

Application Fee

• There is no application fee to attend this walk-in interview
• However, selected candidates must submit a security deposit of Rs. 15,000 (Rupees Fifteen Thousand Only) as a Demand Draft in favour of 'ESI Fund Account No. 1' payable at Bikaner
• The security deposit is refundable after successful completion of contract and production of 'No Dues Certificate'
• If you resign without giving one month's prior notice, your Rs. 15,000 security deposit will be forfeited
• You will also need a Rs. 500 non-judicial stamp paper (purchased on your own) to sign the terms and conditions agreement prior to joining

Selection Process

1. Document Verification: Report at the venue between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on 21 April 2026 with all original certificates and one set of attested photocopies. No candidate reporting after 11:00 AM will be considered
2. Walk-in Interview: You must score a minimum of 50% marks in the interview to qualify for selection. There is no written exam
3. Medical Fitness: Final selection is subject to submission of a medical fitness certificate issued by a competent authority
4. Selection Board's Decision: The decision of the selection board is final and no correspondence will be entertained

• Handle patient examination, diagnosis and treatment in the emergency department and IPD floor duties as assigned
• Perform floor duty in emergency or concerned departments as directed by the Medical Superintendent
• Attend emergency duties and call duties, including on Sundays and gazetted holidays
• Examine all categories of patients preliminarily, in addition to patients of your own specialty
• Work with the online Dhanwantri module for patient records and hospital management tasks
• Maintain accurate patient records, case histories and treatment documentation
• Follow all clinical protocols, rules and regulations adopted by ESIC
• Assist in medical procedures and clinical activities as assigned by the Medical Superintendent
