Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Ministry of Labour & Employment, has released advertisement No. 09/2026 for 53 teaching faculty posts at ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Andheri East, Mumbai – 400093. Reservation will be applied as per Government of India guidelines. PwD reservation is as per prevailing GOI norms.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: As per the latest NMC regulation notification dated 30 June 2025 for the relevant post and discipline (MBBS + MD/MS/DNB in the concerned speciality).
• Medical Registration: You must have an updated Medical Registration with NMC or State Medical Council covering all post-MBBS qualifications. If not updated, you must submit "Applied for" documents at the interview.
• NOC: Candidates working in Government, Autonomous, or Statutory Institutions should preferably carry an NOC from their employer at the time of interview.
• No Private Practice: No private practice is allowed in any capacity after joining as teaching faculty at ESIC.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 70 years as on date of interview
• Age reference date: 6 May 2026
• The maximum tenure of engagement will be till 70 years of age or 3 years (1+2 extension) on contract basis, whichever is earlier.
• Retired employees and pensioners can continue drawing pension and dearness relief during the contractual engagement.

Salary

• Professor: Basic pay Rs. 1,23,100/month (Pay Level 13, Index 1) — gross approx Rs. 2,81,704/month
• Associate Professor: Basic pay Rs. 78,800/month (Pay Level 12, Index 1) — gross approx Rs. 1,84,421/month
• Assistant Professor: Basic pay Rs. 67,700/month (Pay Level 11, Index 1) — gross approx Rs. 1,60,045/month
• Other allowances include DA, NPA, HRA and TA.
• No PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Seniority or Promotion benefits will be admissible (contractual engagement).

• UR / OBC: Rs. 300
• ESIC regular employees, female candidates, Defence Ex-servicemen, PwD: No fee
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESI Fund A/c-1", payable at Mumbai.
• Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Document Verification: Original documents are verified at the venue from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM on the day of interview.
2. Walk-in Interview: Personal appearance before the selection board on the scheduled date for your discipline. Selection is based on academic credentials and interview performance.

2. Fill the form completely and apply separately for each post.
3. Attach self-attested copies of MBBS/MD/MS/DNB marksheets and certificates, NMC/State registration, experience certificate, publications proof, category certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar, recent passport photo, and 10th certificate for date of birth.
4. Prepare a Demand Draft for the application fee in favour of "ESI Fund A/c-1" payable at Mumbai (SC/ST: Rs. 125, UR/OBC: Rs. 300).
5. Walk in to Dean Office, Central Road, MIDC, Opposite MIDC Police Station, Andheri East, Mumbai – 400093 on the date scheduled for your discipline.
6. Reach between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM for document verification before the interview.

• Conduct clinical rounds, case discussions, bedside teaching, and demonstrations
• Guide postgraduate dissertations, research projects, and academic publications
• Participate in NMC accreditation, departmental committees, and academic activities
• Maintain Aadhaar-Enabled Bio-metric attendance daily on scheduled working days
• Perform any speciality-specific duties such as surgeries, diagnostics, lab supervision, or ICU care as required
• Follow all NMC norms, ESIC service rules, and hospital protocols
