ESIC Ludhiana Teaching Faculty & SR Recruitment 2026 — 109 Posts

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana (Punjab) has released a walk-in interview notification for filling up 109 posts of teaching faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Tutor) and Senior Residents on a contract basis. The contract is for 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on satisfactory performance, for Senior Residents under the residency scheme for 3 years, and 1 year for SR against GDMO. Posts span 32 specialties including General Medicine, Surgery, Radiology, Paediatrics, Anaesthesia, Orthopaedics, and superspecialities like Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, and Medical Oncology. Retired and working Professors may also apply for eligible posts.

Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement. ENT SR post is for 44 days only. Category-wise reservations (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS) apply as per Government of India guidelines.

Who Can Apply?

For Teaching Faculty (Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor):

• Education and experience as per latest NMC (National Medical Commission) norms for the advertised posts
• For Tutor posts: candidates with MD in the concerned subject are eligible
• Candidates with MD/MS in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, or Anaesthesia with relevant experience can apply for Assistant Professor in Emergency Medicine
• Must have a valid Medical Registration (NMC / Punjab Medical Council) updated with all post-MBBS / MD / MS qualifications
• Retired and working Professors may also apply for eligible posts
• Candidates currently employed in Govt./Autonomous/Statutory institutions should preferably carry an NOC from their employer at the time of interview

For Senior Residents (SR3 — 3-year Residency Scheme):

• MD/MS in the broad specialty will be considered for SR post in superspeciality departments
• Candidates with MD/MS in Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedics, Surgery, or Anaesthesia or 2 years post-MBBS experience (with 1 year in Emergency Medicine) can apply for SR post in Emergency Medicine

For Senior Residents (SR1 — 1-year Against GDMO):

• If no suitable MD/MS candidate is available, MBBS with 2 years experience in the relevant branch will be considered

Date for eligibility of qualifying degree/experience: as on the last date of application submission (27 April 2026).

Age Limit

• Teaching Faculty (Prof/Assoc Prof/Asst Prof/Tutor): Not exceeding 69 years as on date of interview (04 May 2026)
• Senior Residents: Not exceeding 45 years as on date of interview
• Age relaxation as per prevailing norms of Government of India (GOI)

Salary

• Professor: Fixed basic pay Rs. 1,23,100/month (Level 13) + allowances — Gross salary approx Rs. 2.5 lakh/month
• Associate Professor: Fixed basic pay Rs. 78,800/month (Level 12) + allowances — Gross salary approx Rs. 1.7 lakh/month
• Assistant Professor: Fixed basic pay Rs. 67,700/month (Level 11) + allowances — Gross salary approx Rs. 1.45 lakh/month
• Senior Resident (3-year residency): Fixed basic pay Rs. 67,700/month (Level 11) + allowances — Gross salary approx Rs. 1.45 lakh/month. Deduction of Rs. 1,350/month for diploma holders; Rs. 2,250/month if SR does not possess Degree/Diploma.
• Senior Resident (1-year GDMO): Fixed basic pay Rs. 67,700/month (Level 11) + allowances — Gross salary approx Rs. 1.45 lakh/month (same deductions apply).
• Retired employees/pensioners may draw full pay without deduction as this is not re-employment under Central Civil Services rules. Pension continues during contractual engagement.
• No service benefits like PF, pension, gratuity, or medical allowance will be admissible for contractual posts.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam. Selection is in 3 stages:

1. Document Submission (by Email): Email the duly filled application form along with scanned copies of all supporting documents and Demand Draft (if applicable) to dean-ludhiana.pb@esic.gov.in by 27 April 2026 (Monday). Mention your Name, Post applied, and Department in the email subject.
2. Walk-in Interview: Report in person at 2nd Floor, Dean Office, ESIC Medical College Hospital, Ludhiana-141001 on 04 May 2026. Reporting time: 09:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Bring all original certificates.
3. Final Selection: Based on academic credentials and performance before the Selection Board. Result will be published on www.mcludhiana.esic.gov.in. Offer of appointment is sent by email only.
