Who Can Apply?

For Full Time Specialist Posts

• Qualification: MBBS with a PG Degree or Equivalent Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university.
• Registration: You must be registered with the Medical Council of India / NMC / State Medical Council.
• Experience: 3 years experience after acquiring the PG Degree, OR 5 years experience after the post graduate Diploma.

For Senior Resident Posts

• Qualification: Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty from a recognised university.
• Experience: At least 2 years working experience after completing MBBS in the concerned specialty / discipline.
• Note: Candidates who have already worked as Senior Resident under the Central Residency Scheme for 3 years are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Full Time Specialists: Not exceeding 69 years as on the date of interview.
• Senior Residents: Not exceeding 45 years as on the date of interview (relaxation as per central government rules).

Salary

• Full Time Specialists: Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,28,630 per month.
• Senior Residents: Consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,28,630 per month.
• No additional benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical allowances, or Promotion will be admissible.

Selection Process (Walk-in Interview)

1. Application Submission: Send hard copy of Application, Resume and all supporting documents through registered post or in person by 20 May 2026, 04:00 PM.
2. Document Verification: Applications submitted on the day of the walk-in along with the requisite fee will be scrutinised by the scrutiny committee. Only eligible candidates will appear before the selection board.
3. Screening Test (if needed): If applicants are too many, a screening test may be held for shortlisting.
4. Walk-in Interview: Final selection is based on performance in the interview before the selection board.

Reporting time: 09:00 AM at ESIC Hospital, Sambamurthy Nagar, Kakinada-533001 (Administrative Office, 2nd floor). Candidates failing to report by 09:00 AM will not be considered.

• Provide specialist medical care and consultations to insured persons and their dependants at ESIC Hospital Kakinada
• Attend OPD duty from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturdays
• Be available 24x7 for emergency visits as and when required
• Perform rotational duty and round-the-clock duty as ordered by the Medical Superintendent (for Senior Residents)
• Carry out clinical duties as per norms of residency under the Central Residency Scheme
• Assist in emergency, floor duty, and other clinical duties as assigned by the competent authority
• Mark attendance manually and on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS)
• Maintain a professional indemnity insurance policy as per ESIC norms during the contract period
