Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Hospital Bibvewadi, Pune has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 to fill 17 contractual doctor posts at the hospital and at ESIC Dispensary-cum-Branch Offices (DCBOs) across Maharashtra. This drive covers Senior Residents (3 Years), Senior Residents (1 Year), Medical Officers and Full Time/Part Time Specialists. There is no written exam — selection is purely through a walk-in interview held on 1 June 2026 at the hospital in Pune.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident (3 Years & 1 Year)

• You need an MBBS from an institution recognised by the National Medical Council / MCI / Maharashtra Medical Council.
• You also need a PG Diploma or Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant subject.
• You must be registered with the National Medical Council or Maharashtra Medical Council.
• If PG/Diploma doctors are not available, MBBS doctors with 2 years of experience (1 year in the relevant specialty in a government/private hospital, not a private clinic) may be taken as Senior Resident for 1 year.

For Full Time / Part Time Specialist (Pulmonology, ICU)

• You need an MBBS plus a PG Degree/Diploma (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty.
• You must have 3 years' experience after a PG Degree, or 5 years' experience after a PG Diploma in the concerned specialty.
• You must be registered with the NMC / Maharashtra Medical Council.

For Medical Officer (DCBO)

• You need a recognised MBBS degree listed in the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
• You must have completed your compulsory rotating internship.
• You must be registered with the NMC / Maharashtra Medical Council. No prior experience is essential.

Age Limit

• Senior Resident (3 Years & 1 Year): Up to 45 years
• Medical Officer (DCBO): Up to 35 years
• Full Time / Part Time Specialist: Up to 69 years
• Age is counted as on the date of the advertisement (25 May 2026).
• Age relaxation is given as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and other reserved categories.

Salary

• Senior Resident (3 Years & 1 Year): Rs. 67,700 per month (Pay Band 3, Level-11) plus DA, HRA, NPA, TA, etc.
• Full Time Specialist: Rs. 67,700 per month (Level-11) plus allowances.
• Part Time Specialist: Rs. 60,000 per month for 16 hours a week, plus Rs. 800 per extra hour and Rs. 15,000 for emergency visits.
• Medical Officer (DCBO): Rs. 56,100 per month (Level-10, 7th CPC) plus allowances.

Application Fee

• UR / OBC: Rs. 300
• SC / ST: Rs. 75
• Defence Ex-servicemen / EWS / PH (Divyaang): No fee
• Pay by Demand Draft in favour of 'ESI Fund Account No. 1', payable at Pune. Submit it with your application form at the interview. Fees are not refunded.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Report one hour before your interview time with originals and self-attested copies. Only eligible candidates are allowed in.
2. Walk-in Interview: You appear before the Selection Board, which decides on the basis of your performance. If there are too many applicants, the hospital may add a screening test.
3. Medical Fitness: Final selection is subject to you being medically fit.

2. Prepare a Demand Draft for your category fee in favour of 'ESI Fund Account No. 1', payable at Pune.
3. Arrange all original documents and one set of self-attested copies.

5. Report for document verification one hour before your scheduled interview time.
