Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly Delhi College of Engineering, has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 inviting online applications for 1 Professor of Practice (Training & Placement) and 1 Assistant Professor of Practice (Training & Placement) post. Both posts are on a Tenure Track Appointment basis for a maximum term of 5 years, under Group A, Unreserved (UR) category. These roles focus on strengthening the University's Office of Career Development and Industry Engagement (OCDIE) — the department earlier known as Training & Placement.

Who Can Apply?

For Both Posts:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech and MBA/PGDM (First Class in either) from a recognized university. B.E./B.Tech can be in any branch, MBA/PGDM preferably in HR.

For Assistant Professor of Practice (T&P):

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry experience at managerial level or above (Pay Level-8 or equivalent), desirably in recruitment or as an officer/in-charge of Training and Placement at a degree-level institution.
• Only experience gained in companies with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 500 crore is counted.

For Professor of Practice (T&P):

• Experience: Minimum 15 years of industry experience in recruitment/HR processes or as an officer/in-charge of Training and Placement, with at least 3 years at a position equivalent to Level-13A.
• Only experience gained in companies with an annual turnover of at least Rs. 500 crore is counted.

Age Limit

• There is no age bar for applying to either post. The superannuation age is as per prevailing DTU norms.

Salary

• Assistant Professor of Practice (T&P): Pay Level-8 (Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month) of the 7th CPC.
• Professor of Practice (T&P): Base salary equivalent to that of an Associate Professor, as determined by the University.

Selection Process

For Assistant Professor of Practice (T&P):

1. Screening Test: Held for shortlisting, with the syllabus published in Annexure III.
2. Documents & Points/Marks Verification: A maximum of 15 candidates are shortlisted for this stage.
3. Presentation and Interview.

For Professor of Practice (T&P):

1. Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:15 ratio based on their industrial experience score.
2. Documents & Points/Marks Verification.
3. Presentation and Interview.

All candidates must appear in person at every stage — online document verification, presentation, or interview requests are not considered. No TA/DA is paid.
