• Option 1: Ph.D. in Microbiology + 2 years of work experience in Bacteriology (experience can be relaxed if you worked in Mycobacteriology during Ph.D.)
• Option 2: M.Sc. in Microbiology/Biotechnology + 4 years of work experience in Bacteriology
• Option 3: MD in Microbiology + Registration with Delhi Medical Council

Biochemist (Post Code: PMABHIM/B/APR26)

• Qualification: MBBS with Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in the specialty
• Registration: Must be registered with Delhi Medical Council

Lab Technician (Post Code: PMABHIM/L/APR26)

• Option 1: B.Sc. in Medical Lab Technology
• Option 2: Matriculation/Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary with Science + Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution + 3 years of experience as a Lab Assistant

Age Limit

• Pathologist: Up to 45 years
• Microbiologist: Up to 45 years (up to 64 years for retired government servants)
• Biochemist: Up to 45 years
• Lab Technician: Up to 25 years
• Age as on: 17 April 2026 (last date of registration)
• Age relaxation: SC/ST/OBC and Physically Handicapped candidates get relaxation as per government guidelines

Salary

• Pathologist: Rs. 85,050 per month
• Microbiologist (MD): Rs. 85,050 per month
• Microbiologist (Ph.D./M.Sc.): Rs. 50,000 per month
• Biochemist: Rs. 85,050 per month
• Lab Technician: Rs. 30,240 per month

These are contractual positions under PM-ABHIM. The contract is extendable based on government approvals and your annual performance evaluation.

• Work with the medical team to ensure timely diagnosis and reporting of communicable and non-communicable diseases
• Manage quality assurance and quality control processes in the laboratory
