About This Job
Delhi State Cancer Institute (DSCI) has released a recruitment notification for 1 Senior Consultant in the Radiology Department on a visiting basis. The engagement is initially for 1 year, extendable based on performance or until the post of Professor in Radiology/Onco-Imaging is filled. DSCI Senior Consultant Radiology Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Delhi State Cancer Institute is a chain of autonomous, dedicated cancer institutions under the Government of NCT of Delhi, established under the Societies Registration Act 1860. DSCI currently has two setups in East and West Delhi. This recruitment is for a Senior Consultant in Radiology on a visiting basis, under Advertisement No. RECTT./02/2026. If you are a highly experienced radiologist, this is your chance to work with one of Delhi's top cancer care centres.
Who Can Apply?
Essential Qualification (General Discipline / Broad Speciality)
- MBBS degree — must be included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956. Candidates listed in Part II must also meet the condition in Section 13(3) of the Act.
- Postgraduate qualification — MD in Radiology or a recognised equivalent qualification in the respective discipline/subject.
Experience
- 13 years of teaching and/or research experience in a recognised institution after obtaining the qualifying degree (MD or equivalent).
- Out of 13 years, at least 4 years as Assistant Professor and 3 years as Associate Professor in the subject of speciality.
Jurisdiction
- Disputes, if any, shall be restricted to the jurisdiction of Delhi / New Delhi only.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 66 years
- No minimum age mentioned in the notification.
Salary
- Rs. 6,000 per visit — no other allowances will be paid.
- The engagement is on a visiting basis, preferably 2 days in a week, with a maximum of 10 days per month, subject to the requirement of the Institute.
- Based on maximum visits, you can earn up to Rs. 60,000 per month.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert radiology consultation and diagnostic imaging services for cancer patients at DSCI.
- Perform and interpret advanced radiological investigations including CT scans, MRI, and onco-imaging procedures.
- Guide and mentor junior doctors, residents, and technical staff in the Radiology Department.
- Assist in developing and implementing imaging protocols for cancer diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prepare detailed radiology reports and communicate findings to referring clinicians promptly.
- Follow all institutional guidelines and standard operating procedures for radiation safety and patient care.
- Work closely with oncology, surgery, and other departments for multidisciplinary cancer care.
