  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university

Senior Technical Assistant — Computers (Group B Technical — Level-6)

  • Option 1: Master's Degree in the relevant subject + minimum 2 years experience in relevant field
  • Option 2: First Class Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject + minimum 5 years experience in working and maintenance of sophisticated scientific instruments in a laboratory
  • Experience must be: in University, Research Establishment, Central/State Government, PSU, or private organization with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore

Assistant (Group C Ministerial — Level-4)

  • Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university
  • Experience: 2 years as Junior Assistant or equivalent in University, Research Establishment, Central/State Government, PSU, or private company with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore
  • Typing: English Typing @ 35 wpm OR Hindi Typing @ 30 wpm

Selection Process

Selection is done in two stages for all posts:

For Senior Assistant (Group B Ministerial)

  1. Stage 1 — Preliminary Test (MCQ): 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours. Subjects: General Knowledge (35Q), Reasoning (35Q), Mathematical Ability (35Q), Administration of Higher Educational Institutions (45Q). This test is only for shortlisting and has no weightage in final merit.
  2. Stage 2 — Main Examination (Descriptive): 200 marks in 2 hours. Topics: Educational Administration and Management, Rules and their application in Higher Educational Institutions.
  3. Skill Test (Qualifying only): 100 marks. Areas: Management of Administrative Units, Office Procedures, Information Technology, Noting and Drafting. Minimum 50 marks needed to qualify.

For Senior Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Attendant

  1. Stage 1 — Preliminary Test (MCQ): 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours. Subjects: Domain Knowledge (45Q), Reasoning (35Q), Mathematical Ability (35Q), Administration of Higher Educational Institutions (35Q). Only for shortlisting.
  2. Stage 2 — Main Examination (Descriptive): 300 marks in 3 hours. Topics: Lab Procedures, Computer Knowledge, Educational Administration, Domain Knowledge.
  3. Skill Test (Qualifying only): 100 marks. Minimum 50 marks needed to qualify.

For Assistant (Group C Ministerial)
