Who Can Apply?
Senior Assistant (Group B Ministerial — Level-6)
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university
- Experience: 3 years as Assistant or equivalent at Level-4 in Central/State Government, University, PSU, or private company with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore
- Skills: Computer applications, noting and drafting
Senior Technical Assistant — Computers (Group B Technical — Level-6)
- Option 1: Master's Degree in the relevant subject + minimum 2 years experience in relevant field
- Option 2: First Class Bachelor's Degree in the relevant subject + minimum 5 years experience in working and maintenance of sophisticated scientific instruments in a laboratory
- Experience must be: in University, Research Establishment, Central/State Government, PSU, or private organization with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore
Assistant (Group C Ministerial — Level-4)
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized university
- Experience: 2 years as Junior Assistant or equivalent in University, Research Establishment, Central/State Government, PSU, or private company with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore
- Typing: English Typing @ 35 wpm OR Hindi Typing @ 30 wpm
- Skills: Proficiency in Computer Operations
Junior Assistant (Group C Ministerial — Level-2)
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from any recognized Institute/University
- Typing: English Typing @ 35 wpm OR Hindi Typing @ 30 wpm

Laboratory Assistant (Group C — Level-4)
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years of working and maintenance experience of sophisticated scientific instruments in a Laboratory
- Experience must be: in University, Research Establishment, Central/State Government, PSU, or private organization with annual turnover of at least Rs. 200 crore
- The relevant subject will be decided by the University as per departmental functional requirements
Laboratory Attendant (Group C Non-Ministerial — Level-1)
- Option 1: 10+2 with Science stream from any recognized Central/State Board
- Option 2: 10th Pass with Science as one of the subjects + Skill Certificate in Laboratory Technology OR ITI in relevant trade
Library Attendant (Group C Ministerial — Level-1)
- Qualification: 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board
- Certificate: Certificate course in Library Science from a recognized institution
- Desirable: Computer as a subject at secondary level or Basic Computer course from any institution
Age Limit
- Senior Assistant & Senior Technical Assistant: Up to 35 years
- Assistant, Junior Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Attendant, Library Attendant: Up to 32 years

Selection Process
Selection is done in two stages for all posts:
For Senior Assistant (Group B Ministerial)
- Stage 1 — Preliminary Test (MCQ): 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours. Subjects: General Knowledge (35Q), Reasoning (35Q), Mathematical Ability (35Q), Administration of Higher Educational Institutions (45Q). This test is only for shortlisting and has no weightage in final merit.
- Stage 2 — Main Examination (Descriptive): 200 marks in 2 hours. Topics: Educational Administration and Management, Rules and their application in Higher Educational Institutions.
- Skill Test (Qualifying only): 100 marks. Areas: Management of Administrative Units, Office Procedures, Information Technology, Noting and Drafting. Minimum 50 marks needed to qualify.
For Senior Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Attendant
- Stage 1 — Preliminary Test (MCQ): 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours. Subjects: Domain Knowledge (45Q), Reasoning (35Q), Mathematical Ability (35Q), Administration of Higher Educational Institutions (35Q). Only for shortlisting.
- Stage 2 — Main Examination (Descriptive): 300 marks in 3 hours. Topics: Lab Procedures, Computer Knowledge, Educational Administration, Domain Knowledge.
- Skill Test (Qualifying only): 100 marks. Minimum 50 marks needed to qualify.
For Assistant (Group C Ministerial)
- Stage 1 — Preliminary Test (MCQ): 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours. Subjects: General Studies (35Q), Reasoning (35Q), Mathematical Ability (35Q), Functioning of Higher Educational Institutions (45Q). Only for shortlisting.
