The Defence Electronics Applications Laboratory (DEAL), Dehradun, a premier research laboratory under DRDO, has invited applications for the Paid Internship Scheme 2026-27. DEAL works in the field of Software Based Radios, Satellite Communication, Data Link, and Surveillance Technologies. Selection is purely on merit basis — no written exam or interview. Engineering students from AICTE-approved colleges with strong academic records can apply for this 6-month paid internship in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

Who Can Apply?

• Nationality: You must be an Indian Citizen.
• Qualification (B.E./B.Tech students): Full-time students who have completed 3rd year / 6th semester or will complete it by July 2026.
• Qualification (M.Tech/M.Sc (Electronics) students): Full-time students who have completed 1st year / 2nd semester or will complete it by July 2026.
• CGPA Requirement: Minimum CGPA of 7.0 on a scale of 10 from an AICTE-approved College/University.
• Backlog: Students with backlogs (failed) in any exam during the first 5 semesters are NOT eligible.
• Recommendation Letter: A recommendation letter from your Head/Dean/Principal is mandatory.

Age Limit

• No specific age limit mentioned. Eligibility is based on current academic enrolment as final year B.Tech/B.E. or 2nd semester M.Tech/M.Sc.

Stipend

• Total stipend: Rs. 30,000 for the entire 6-month internship period.
• Paid in 2 installments: Rs. 15,000 after completion of 3 months and Rs. 15,000 after completion of 6 months.
• Attendance of minimum 15 days per month is mandatory to receive the stipend.
• Lodging, boarding, transport and medical expenses will be borne by the individual student.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Selection is entirely based on academic merit (CGPA / Marks Percentage).
2. Intimation: Selected students will be informed by 15 July 2026.
3. Joining Procedures: Shortlisted students will receive joining procedures and Indemnity Bond details.
4. Document Verification: Original semester mark sheets must be submitted at the time of joining.

No communication will be made with rejected candidates. DEAL Management reserves the right to change vacancy positions or selection criteria.

2. Fill in the application with all required details and CGPA proof.
3. Attach the Recommendation Letter from your College Principal/HOD (Appendix-B on College letterhead).
4. Enclose copies of mark sheets, Aadhar Card, College ID Card, and a Biodata/Resume.
5. Affix a recent passport size colour photograph on the application.
6. Send the filled application by Speed Post only — on top of the envelope, clearly write "Application for DRDO Paid Internship" and the Branch/Discipline.
