DPSRU Senior Project Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU) is hiring research staff for its ANRF-PAIR grant project (Project No. ANRF/PAIR/2025/000029/PAIR), funded under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation's PAIR programme. The openings are for Senior Project Associate and Research Associate-I, and selection happens through a walk-in interview at the DPSRU campus in Pushp Vihar, New Delhi. These are temporary project posts, not regular university jobs — they run for the life of the grant.

The project covers a wide spread of drug-discovery work: computer-aided drug design, synthetic chemistry, formulation science, omics profiling, animal pharmacology and data analysis in R. If you already have hands-on R&D experience in a pharma, biotech or academic lab, this is a good chance to work on a funded national research project in Delhi.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Project Associate: the main hiring pool for the project, open to graduates and postgraduates in natural sciences, pharmacy, veterinary science, engineering, technology or medicine. The R&D experience you need drops as your degree goes higher, and a doctorate (PhD, MD or MS) alone is enough.
• Research Associate-I: a single senior research post that needs much longer R&D experience; for the bachelor's route, part of that experience must be in science and technology programme planning, development and co-operation.
• Shared skill list: the notice gives one list of desirable skills, with expertise and publications in assay systems, for both posts — from virtual screening and docking to RNA-Seq, proteomics, animal pharmacokinetics and GROMACS simulation. Your publications in these areas count in your favour.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: All positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The first term is one year, extended only on performance.
• Age ceiling during service: You cannot continue in the project beyond 60 years of age.
• Allowances: HRA is paid as per Central Government norms for Delhi; there is no DA, Child Care Allowance, bonus, gratuity or LTC for project staff.
• Medical and leave: You get medical benefits and leave as per DPSRU rules.
• Tax: The pay is taxable as per norms.
• Number of posts: DPSRU may increase, reduce or cancel the positions at any stage without giving reasons.
• Travel cost: No TA/DA is paid for attending the walk-in interview. Canvassing leads to disqualification.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form. Report at the Auditorium, DPSRU Campus, Pushp Vihar, Sector-III, M.B. Road, New Delhi-110017 by 9:00 AM on the walk-in day, carrying the filled ANRF project application form (attached to the notice and also on the DPSRU recruitments page as a Word file). Your documents are checked before the interview starts.

The instructions printed at the end of the application form still show an older reporting date from November 2025; that is a leftover from an earlier form, so go by the interview date in the walk-in notice itself.

• Run virtual screening of compound libraries such as ZINC and PubChem and study protein-ligand binding with Molegro or Maestro
• Use in-silico tools like SwissADME and Swiss Target Prediction to shortlist drug-like, non-toxic molecules
• Synthesise, purify and characterise new heterocyclic compounds
• Carry out preformulation, stability and in vitro drug-release studies, and develop formulations using QbD or GastroPlus
• Develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS/MS analytical methods
• Handle RNA-Seq, proteomics and sample-processing work, including PBMC isolation and sample QC
• Conduct animal model, efficacy and pharmacokinetic studies with ethics-compliant logbooks
• Analyse biological data using R, PhVID, fGWAS and GROMACS, and keep SOPs and QC records up to date
