DPSRU Precision Medicine Project Recruitment 2026: Overview

Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), a university of the Government of NCT of Delhi, is hiring a small research team for its project "Establishment of Centre of Precision Medicine and Pharmacy". The project is sanctioned by the Directorate of Training and Technical Education and runs under DKDF norms. You can join as a Research Associate-I, Lab Technician or Junior Research Fellow.

All three are contractual project posts filled through a walk-in interview at the DPSRU campus in Pushp Vihar, New Delhi. There is no written test — you bring your filled form and documents on the day. If you have worked with gene sequencing, drug design or pharmaceutical analysis, this is a good chance to get hands-on research work at a growing centre.

Posts and Disciplines

• Research Associate-I: the senior post on the team, meant for a PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or Pharmacology with gene-sequencing work on Next Generation Sequencing machines, or for someone skilled in precision medicine for cancer, infectious, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
• Lab Technician: the hands-on lab support post, open to science graduates, DMLT or D.Pharm holders with hospital, research or industry experience, and to science postgraduates.
• Junior Research Fellow: an early-career research post for B.Pharm or B.Tech (Biotech) holders with experience, or for M.Pharm or Biotechnology postgraduates who know gene sequencing.

For all three posts, the notice lists the same set of desirable skills. Having a few of them will help you stand out at the interview:

• Computer-aided drug design: virtual screening with ZINC and PubChem, docking in Molegro or Maestro, and SwissADME or Swiss Target Prediction.
• Chemistry and formulation: synthesis of heterocyclic compounds, preformulation and stability studies, QbD or GastroPlus formulation work, and in vitro release kinetics.
• Analytical work: HPLC and LC-MS method development and validation.
• Omics: RNA extraction, library preparation, RNA-Seq, proteomics sample preparation for LC-MS/MS and pathway mapping with DAVID or Metascape.
• Animal and clinical samples: PBMC isolation, sample tracking, in vivo models and pharmacokinetic dosing and sampling.
• Data analysis: R packages, PhVID, GRADEpro, fGWAS and GROMACS simulation.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: Each engagement is for 11 months and can be renewed for at most three terms, based on your performance.
• Co-terminus: All posts are purely temporary and end with the project.
• Benefits: You get HRA as per Central Government norms, plus medical benefits and leave as per DPSRU rules. There is no DA, Child Care Allowance, bonus, gratuity or LTC.
• Tax: The pay is taxable.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• Canvassing: Any canvassing leads to disqualification.
• Changes: The university can cancel the process or change the number of posts at any stage.
• No TA/DA: You will not be paid travel costs for attending the interview.
