Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of NCT of Delhi, has released Advertisement No. DMRC/PERS/22/HR/2026 (227) dated 05 May 2026. The notice is for one Project Director (Civil) post on Direct Recruitment, Deputation, or Post Retirement Contractual Engagement basis. There is no written exam mentioned; selection is based mainly on personal interview, and medical fitness is required for Direct Recruitment and PRCE candidates.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Qualification: You need a full-time Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 60% marks from a recognised university or institute.

Service and Experience Requirement

• Officer category: You must be an IRSE / Ex-IRSE officer.
• Work area: You should have varied experience in Civil Engineering works, including construction and maintenance, in Indian Railways, Government organisations, PSUs, or Metro organisations.
• Service length: You need 18 years of service at Gazetted / Executive level in Indian Railways, Government organisation, PSU, or Metro.
• Pay scale for Direct Recruitment / Deputation: You should be working in CDA Pay Matrix Level 14 (Rs. 1,44,200 - 2,18,200) as per 7th CPC, or in IDA Rs. 1,20,000 - 2,80,000, on regular basis.
• Pay scale for PRCE: Working or retired officers from CDA Level 14 or higher, or IDA Rs. 1,20,000 - 2,80,000 or higher, can apply if they meet the service condition.
• Computer knowledge: You should be comfortable working in a computerised environment. Hands-on knowledge of job-related computer applications is desirable.
• Clean record: The officer should be free from D&AR and Vigilance angle.

Age Limit

• Direct Recruitment: Maximum age 57 years.
• Deputation: Maximum age 55 years.
• PRCE: Minimum age 55 years and maximum age 62 years.
• Age cut-off date: 01 May 2026.

Salary

• Direct Recruitment: IDA pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month.
• Deputation: Parent department pay plus deputation allowance as per rules.
• PRCE: Consolidated fee of Rs. 2,00,800 per month for posting other than Delhi/NCR.
• Benefits: Direct Recruitment candidates get perks, Lease/HRA, medical benefits, EPF, gratuity, insurance and other benefits as per DMRC rules.
• Tenure: Deputation is normally for 5 years, extendable up to 7 years in special cases or till superannuation, whichever is earlier. PRCE is initially for 1 year and can be extended based on requirement and performance.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

The DMRC notice lists different screening steps based on the basis of application. You should be ready for interview, document checking, and medical fitness where applicable.

1. Personal Interview: Deputation candidates are screened through personal interview.
2. Personal Interview and Medical Fitness: Direct Recruitment and PRCE candidates have to clear personal interview and medical fitness examination in the Executive / Technical category.
3. Document Verification: DMRC will check qualification, service, pay scale, APARs, vigilance clearance, D&AR clearance, and other supporting papers.
4. Character and Antecedents: For Direct Recruitment, appointment depends on DMRC being satisfied with character and antecedents.
5. Surety Bond and Probation: Direct Recruitment selectees must execute a Rs. 4,00,000 surety bond and serve a probation period of 1 year.
