DLSA Dhubri Driver (Contractual) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the District Legal Services Authority, Dhubri has released advertisement dated 18 May 2026 for 1 Driver (Contractual) post at fixed pay. This post is purely on contractual basis and the engagement is liable to be terminated at any time. The vacancy is unreserved. Selection involves a Driving Skill Test followed by an Interview / Viva-Voce.

Who Can Apply?

• Educational Qualification: You must have passed Class VIII or equivalent from a Government recognised Board / Council.
• Driving Licence: You must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving licence issued by the Competent Authority.
• Employment Exchange: You must have a valid Employment Exchange Registration number for the State of Assam, valid on the date of application.
• Nationality: You must be an Indian Citizen as per the Constitution of India.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 40 years (as on 01 January 2026)
• Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be allowed for reserved categories as per Government norms.

Salary

• Fixed Pay: Rs. 15,000 per month
• The post is purely contractual and is liable to be terminated at any time.

Selection Process

Selection is done in two stages:

1. Stage 1 - Driving Skill Test: You will be tested on your driving skills with an LMV.
2. Stage 2 - Interview / Viva-Voce: Held for candidates who clear the skill test.

No separate call letters will be issued. The list of eligible / rejected candidates along with the dates of the Driving Skill Test and Interview will be uploaded on the official website of Dhubri District Judiciary (dhubri.dcourts.gov.in) and on the Notice Board of the DLSA, Dhubri. No TA/DA is admissible for attending the test.

How to Apply

1. Get the Standard Form as published in Part-IX of the Assam Gazette.
2. Fill the form in your handwriting and enclose self-attested photocopies of all relevant testimonials — educational qualification, Driving Licence, Experience certificate (if any), Age proof, Employment Exchange Registration Card, NOC from current employer (if applicable).
3. Attach 3 self-attested recent passport size photographs duly signed on the reverse side.
4. Provide your contact number in the application.
5. Super-scribe the envelope with "Application for the Post of Driver" along with your name, address and mobile number.
6. Submit the application in the Drop Box at the office of the Secretary, DLSA, Dhubri, or send by registered post / speed post to: The Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Dhubri, Top Floor, District Judicial Court Complex, Dhubri, PIN - 783301.
7. Application must reach in the Drop Box on or before 30 May 2026 by 5:00 PM. Late or non-delivered applications will be rejected.

• Check fuel, oil, tyres, and brakes regularly before every trip
• Follow all traffic rules and drive safely while carrying officers and staff
• Keep proper records of vehicle log book, fuel use, and servicing
• Report any vehicle problem or accident to the Secretary, DLSA without delay
• Be available for duty during office hours and emergency outings as required
