DLSA Darrang Driver Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

District Legal Services Authority, Darrang (under the Government of Assam) has released an advertisement for 1 Driver post on a purely contractual basis. The engagement is temporary and the contract can be extended based on your performance. Freshers with a Class VIII certificate and a valid LMV licence can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed Class VIII at minimum.
• Driving Licence: You must hold a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving licence.
• Citizenship: You must be an Indian citizen as defined under Articles 5 and 6 of the Constitution.
• Residence: You must be an ordinary resident of Assam.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 40 years (as on 1 January 2026)
• Age Relaxation: Available as per the existing rules of the Government of Assam.

Salary

• Monthly remuneration: Rs. 15,000 per month (consolidated, contractual).
• The post is purely temporary and contractual — the contract period may be extended based on requirement and performance.

Selection Process

Selection will happen in two stages:

1. Driving Skill Test (40 marks): You need to score at least 30 out of 40 to qualify for the next stage.
2. Personal Interview (60 marks): Only those who clear the skill test are called for the interview.

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks (Skill Test + Interview).

1. Get the Standard Form as published in the Assam Gazette, Part IX.
2. Fill in your details and attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, age proof, caste certificate, Employment Exchange registration card, valid LMV driving licence, experience certificate (if any), and two passport-sized photos.
3. Add your phone number (preferably WhatsApp) and email ID.
4. Address the application to the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Darrang, Mangaldai.
5. Submit it in the Drop Box at the DLSA Darrang office: Ward No. 1, DRDA Road, Near Treasury Office, Mangaldai, PIN: 784125.
6. Make sure your application reaches the office before 4:00 PM on 30 May 2026. No applications will be accepted after this time (in any mode).

• Drive official vehicles of the District Legal Services Authority, Darrang as assigned

• Report any vehicle issues or repairs to the office immediately
• Assist with minor running maintenance like checking tyre pressure, oil, and water levels
• Be available for duty during office hours and any official tours when required
