Who Can Apply?

General Eligibility (All Posts):

• You must be a citizen of India.
• You must meet the age criteria given in the Age Limit section below.

For Stenographer Grade-3 (Hindi/English):

• You need the prescribed educational qualification along with a certificate in Hindi or English shorthand (as applicable to the post) from a recognised shorthand and typewriting board.
• You must also know Hindi/English computer typing, as applicable to the post you apply for.

For Assistant Grade-3:

• You need knowledge of the Chhattisgarhi/local dialect.
• A one-year diploma in Nishpadan Lipik, Sakshya Evam Aadeshika Lekhak (Execution Clerk, Evidence and Order Writer) is required.
• You must also hold a Hindi/English typing qualification.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on 01 January 2026.
• SC/ST candidates: upper age limit relaxed by 5 years.
• OBC candidates (non-creamy layer): upper age limit relaxed by 5 years.
• Women candidates: get an additional 10-year relaxation on top of their category relaxation. Widowed and divorced women candidates also get a higher upper age limit.
• Chhattisgarh Government employees (permanent, temporary, workcharge, or employees of state boards/corporations): upper age limit extended up to 38 years.
• Ex-servicemen: your total defence service period is deducted from your age, but the resulting age cannot exceed the normal upper limit by more than 3 years.
• Retrenched government servants: up to 7 years of your prior temporary service is deducted from your age, but the resulting age cannot exceed the normal upper limit by more than 3 years.
• Shikshakarmis (education workers): get relaxation equal to their years of service in the shikshakarmi cadre.
• Note: Even after combining all applicable relaxations, your age cannot exceed 45 years.
