Ekatmik Bal Vikas Prakalp Kolhapur Anganwadi Madatnis (Helper) Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Ekatmik Bal Vikas Prakalp Kolhapur (Integrated Child Development Services Scheme), under Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Department, has released a notice to fill 1 Anganwadi Madatnis (Helper) post that has fallen vacant in the Hupari Nagarparishad area. This is a by-nomination appointment reserved only for local women residents of this specific municipal area — the post does not carry a regular pay scale, pension, or transfer benefits, since it is an honorarium-based ICDS position. Only candidates who currently live in Hupari Nagarparishad, and can prove it, are eligible to apply.
Anganwadi centers run under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme provide early education, nutrition support, and basic health monitoring to children under 6 years, as well as to pregnant and lactating women in the community. As a Madatnis, you will work closely with the Anganwadi Sevika to keep the center running smoothly every day, so that every eligible child and mother in the Hupari area gets access to these services.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification: You must have passed 12th standard (State Education Board or equivalent) with certified copies of your mark sheets.
- Gender: This post is reserved for women candidates only.
- Domicile: You must currently reside within the Hupari Nagarparishad area and submit proof (ration card, voter ID, Aadhaar card, Talathi residence certificate, or domicile certificate). If your residency is disputed, you will need a residence certificate from the Tehsildar. After appointment, you must continue living in this area — it is a binding condition.
- Family: You should have a maximum of 2 living children (including adopted children). Having more will disqualify you, even if discovered after appointment.
- Language: If more than 50% of the children at your assigned Anganwadi center speak a language other than Marathi (such as Urdu or Hindi), preference goes to candidates who can read and write that language. Otherwise, you should have passed 10th standard or higher with Marathi as a subject.
- Experience (preferred): Minimum 2 years of experience as an Anganwadi Sevika, Madatnis, or Mini Anganwadi Sevika under a government ICDS scheme earns you bonus marks.
- Widow/Orphan candidates: Orphan candidates need a certificate from a competent authority; widow candidates need their husband's death certificate and a self-declaration of not having remarried.
- Reserved category: SC/ST/OBC/VJ/NT/EWS/SBC candidates must attach a certified copy of their caste certificate.
Age Limit
- You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 1 August 2026 (the date of advertisement).
- Age Relaxation: Widow candidates can apply up to 40 years of age.
Salary
- You will get a combined monthly honorarium of Rs. 7,500 as an Anganwadi Madatnis.
- Any increase in this honorarium will follow government rules from time to time — no other allowances or benefits are given.
- This is a honorarium-based post — you are not eligible for transfer, pension, or the salary increments given to regular government employees.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Your selection depends on a merit list, not a written exam:
- Merit Calculation: Up to 80 marks based on your educational marksheet, plus up to 20 bonus marks — Widow/Orphan candidates get 10 marks, SC/ST candidates get 5 marks, OBC/VJ/NT/EWS/SBC candidates get 3 marks, and candidates with 2 years of ICDS experience get 5 marks.
- Preliminary List: Published on the office notice board within 15 working days of the last date to apply.
- Objections: You can raise objections to the preliminary list within 10 working days of its publication.
- Final Selection: A final merit-based list is declared, with a waiting list valid for 1 year in case the selected candidate doesn't join within 30 days.
