The Department of Linguistics, School of Humanities and Languages, Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has invited applications for 2 project positions to work in an ICSSR-funded Minor Research Project (2025-26) titled "Bhojpuri Folk Literature: Documentation, Preservation and its Role in Ecological Awareness". The appointments are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selection is through interview only — there is no written exam. Postgraduates and graduates in any Social Science discipline can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Research Assistant (Rs. 37,000/month):

• Qualification: Postgraduate in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Preference: Candidates with NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D. will be given preference.

For Field Investigator (Rs. 20,000/month):

• Qualification: Graduate in any Social Science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
• Preference: Candidates with a four-year undergraduate degree will be given preference.

Salary

• Project Research Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month (consolidated)
• Field Investigator: Rs. 20,000 per month (consolidated)
• The PRA post is initially for 4 months and may be extended up to 6 months based on performance.
• The Field Investigator post is initially for 6 months and may be extended up to 8 months based on performance.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through interview only. The steps are:

1. Application Screening: Only complete applications received by email will be screened.
2. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the interview. The date will be communicated separately.
3. Interview: Interviews will be conducted offline or online at the Department of Linguistics, Central University of Rajasthan.
4. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified before issuing the appointment letter.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Assist in organising workshops, seminars, and field visits
• Support data analysis and contribute to research publications
• Maintain proper records of project work, expenses, and field data
