Central University of Andhra Pradesh (CUAP) has released a notification (Advt. No. CUAP/Rect./Non Teaching/2026/08) to fill 3 Lab Assistant (Computer Lab) posts at its campus in Ananthapuramu, Andhra Pradesh. This is a contract or outsourced job, purely temporary in nature. You will be hired for one year first, and it can be extended further based on your performance. This is a good chance for computer diploma and degree holders who want to work in a central university.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a UG, PG or Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Applications from a recognised institute or university.
• Skills: You should know computer operation, troubleshooting, and both hardware and software.
• Experience: You need 1 to 2 years of experience in a relevant field at any university, college, or research institute.
• Language: You should be able to work in Hindi, English and Telugu with good communication skills.

Candidates who have worked in Central or State Government universities will be preferred.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 32 years as on 24 June 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates get relaxation in the upper age limit as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• The notification does not mention a fixed salary amount for this contract post.
• Pay will be decided as per the terms of the outsourced or contractual engagement set by the university.
• No TA/DA, HRA or accommodation will be given by the university.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these steps:

1. Shortlisting: If too many people apply, the university may shortlist candidates based on merit, higher qualification, and experience.
2. Test / Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a test or skill test. The date and venue will be informed later.
3. Document Verification: You must show your original documents at the time of the test.

The test/skill test will be held at the CUAP campus in Bukkarayasamudram Mandal, Ananthapuramu. No TA/DA will be paid for attending.

2. Register and log in to your account.
3. Fill in the online application form carefully.
4. Upload your self-attested documents (degree, mark sheets, experience certificate).
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Submit the form and take a printout for your records.

Only online applications through the Samarth portal are accepted. No physical or email applications will be taken.

• Manage and maintain the computers and equipment in the lab
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and fix them quickly
• Install software and keep the systems updated and working
• Help students and faculty during practical lab sessions
• Keep proper records of lab equipment and report any faults
• Follow the lab rules and safety guidelines set by the university
• Assist in setting up systems for tests and online activities
