CSIR-NEERI Project Associate-I Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur has invited applications for 2 Project Associate-I posts on a purely temporary basis. These positions are linked to the project titled "Particulate Matter Speciation Study at Ras Laffan Industrial City, Doha, Qatar (CNP 2637)". The selected candidates will work at CSIR-NEERI Nagpur and be involved in air pollution research. No application fee is required, and selection will be through an online interview.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (Option 1): You need an M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Environmental Science from a recognised university.
• Qualification (Option 2): You can also apply with a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Important: You must have already received your degree or at least a provisional certificate. Final semester or result-awaited candidates are not eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on 03 April 2026 (last date of application).

Salary

• Category (a): Rs. 31,000 per month + HRA for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET, ICAR NET, ICMR NET (Lectureship/Assistant Professorship), GATE, or equivalent national-level exams conducted by DBT/DST.
• Category (b): Rs. 25,000 per month + HRA for all other candidates who do not fall under category (a).
• You will also receive HRA as per applicable CSIR rules. You need to arrange your own accommodation.

Selection Process

Selection will be done in a single stage:

1. Online Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online interview conducted via MS Teams, Skype, or a similar platform. The interview date will be notified separately on the www.neeri.res.in website.
2. Document Verification: Selected candidates must complete pre-appointment formalities including medical examination and character verification before joining.

Note: If a large number of applications are received, a screening committee will shortlist candidates based on set criteria.
