CSIR-Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI) is bringing two research roles into separate membrane-development projects at its Bhavnagar institute. Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I

You will support the ANRF membrane project, helping the research team develop, fabricate and assess composite materials intended for critical-mineral processing. The work connects laboratory preparation with the practical challenge of scaling a membrane process beyond a small experimental sample.

Senior PAT

You will contribute experienced research support to the BPCL-backed crude-oil project. Your work will centre on large-scale composite membrane fabrication and its use in separation and purification, with the role designed for someone who has already worked in an R&D, academic or science-and-technology setting.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: both engagements begin with a fixed project term and may be extended only when funding remains available and your performance is satisfactory.
• Temporary status: the posts end with their respective projects and do not create a right to regular appointment or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI.
• Aggregate limit: project-staff service across CSIR-CSMCRI and other CSIR laboratories cannot exceed 6 years in total.
• Interview expense: the institute will not pay TA or DA for attending an in-person interview.
