Who Can Apply?

For ASI (Pharmacist):

• 10+2 pass from a recognized Board/University
• Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Central/State Government
• Registration as a "Pharmacist" under the Pharmacy Act, 1948

For ASI (X-Ray Technician):

• 10+2 pass from a recognized Board/University
• 2-year Diploma in Radiography recognized by the Central/State Government

For ASI (Lab Technician):

• 10+2 with Science from a recognized Board/University
• 2-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology recognized by the Central/State Government

Age Limit

• ASI (Pharmacist): You should be between 20 and 25 years old.
• ASI (X-Ray Technician) and ASI (Lab Technician): You should be between 18 and 28 years old.
• Age is counted as on 7 July 2026, the closing date for applications.
• Age Relaxation: Available for SC/ST/OBC and other reserved categories as per government rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month under Pay Level-5 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance and other allowances as per central government rules.

Physical Standards

• Height: 170 cm for male candidates, 157 cm for female candidates (General/EWS/SC/OBC categories).
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
• Relaxation in height and chest measurements is available for candidates from hill areas and Scheduled Tribes.
• You must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint in the eyes to clear the medical standards.

• Payment mode: Net Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card online. An SBI Challan option is also available for offline fee payment.

Selection Process

CISF will select candidates through the following stages:

1. Written Examination: Objective type (OMR/CBT) for 100 marks in 2 hours, with no negative marking.
2. Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, weight and other physical measurements are checked.
3. Documentation: Your certificates and category proofs are verified.
4. Basic Vocational Aptitude Test (BVAT): Tests your practical/technical skill for the post.
5. Medical Examination: Final selection depends on medical fitness.

Your final merit position depends on your combined performance in the written exam and the Basic Vocational Aptitude Test, so it helps to be equally prepared for both the theory paper and the practical/technical assessment for your chosen post.
