The Chandrapur District Security Guards Board is creating a pool of 396 Security Guards for the Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts of Maharashtra. If you have passed 12th standard (HSC) and meet the height/weight standards, you can register online. The last date to apply is 6 August 2026. Once registered and selected, you will be part of a regulated pool from which the Board allots security guards to registered employers as per demand, giving you a government-recognised identity as a security guard rather than an informal private-agency job.

Chandrapur District Security Guards Board Security Guard (Pool) Recruitment 2026 - 396 Posts

District Security Guard Boards in Maharashtra are set up under the Maharashtra Private Security Guards (Regulation of Employment and Welfare) Act to regulate the supply and welfare of security guards working with private and government establishments. Under the jurisdiction of the Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts, registered employers — factories, establishments, government and semi-government offices, boards and corporations — regularly ask the Board to supply security guards. To meet this demand, the Board is creating a pool (samuchchay) of 396 Security Guards as per Government Decision No. SGA-2024/Pra.Kra.96/Kamgar-5 dated 27 March 2025. Being registered in this pool does not guarantee a job — only candidates who clear the eligibility and field test are added to the pool, and guards are allotted to employers within Chandrapur and Gadchiroli as and when demand arises. This is a good opportunity if you want a regulated, government-registered security job with defined welfare protections rather than working through unregistered private agencies, since the Board also tracks your service record and welfare benefits once you are allotted work.

Who Can Apply?

You must meet all of the following conditions to be considered — if you fall short on age, education or the physical standards, your application will not move forward in the process.

• Qualification: You must have passed the 12th standard (HSC) examination from a recognised board at the time of applying.
• Domicile: You need a Maharashtra state domicile certificate.
• Note: If you have registered with the Chandrapur Board before, you must apply again with a new online application for this pool — old applications will not automatically carry over.
• Note: Once you are registered with one District Security Guard Board, you cannot transfer your registration to another Board.
• Note: Candidates whose land was acquired for a project belonging to an establishment that has requested guards from this Board will be given priority in the pool.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 35 years old as on 6 June 2026.

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: minimum 165 cm
• Weight: minimum 50 kg
• Chest: 79 cm (normal), must expand by at least 5 cm to 84 cm

For Female Candidates:

• Height: minimum 158 cm
• Weight: minimum 45 kg

Application Fee

• Open/General category: Rs. 100 plus tax
• Backward class category: Rs. 75 plus tax

Selection Process

Candidates who meet the age, education and physical eligibility must clear a Field Test worth 100 marks (minimum 50 marks required to pass):

1. Running: Men run 1600 metres, women run 800 metres, for 40 marks based on completion time.
2. 100 Metre Run: Both men and women run 100 metres, for 30 marks based on time.
3. Shot Put: Men throw a 7.260 kg weight, women throw a 4 kg weight, for 30 marks based on distance.

Bonus Marks: MSCIT computer certificate holders get 4 extra marks. NCC certificate holders get 2 marks (A certificate), 4 marks (B certificate), or 6 marks (C certificate) — so it is worth listing these certificates in your application if you have them, since even a small number of bonus marks can improve your final rank in a large pool like this one.

Note: The Board is not responsible for any accident or mishap during the field test — participation is at the candidate's own risk, and you must submit an undertaking to this effect with your application. Once you submit this undertaking, you take part in the field test entirely at your own responsibility, so make sure you are physically prepared before the test date.

3. Register yourself and fill in the online application form.
4. Upload your documents, domicile certificate and photograph.
5. Pay the application fee online.
6. Submit the form before the office-hours deadline on the last date.

Other conditions: Security guards can work until 58 years of age, after which they cannot continue in this role under any circumstances. This process is transparent and computerised — do not pay any money to agents or middlemen promising you a guaranteed guard job, and report anyone who asks for a bribe.

Since this pool covers both Chandrapur and Gadchiroli districts, candidates from either district are welcome to apply, and once selected you could be allotted to any registered employer within this combined jurisdiction based on where the demand for guards comes from.
