Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India Limited (CCIC), a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Textiles, has announced engagement for the post of OSD (Transformation). CCIC operates the iconic Cottage Emporium stores and is engaged in marketing handicrafts and handlooms produced by Indian artisans. The OSD (Transformation) will spearhead the institutional revival of CCIC — leading financial restructuring, HR reform, digital transformation, and artisan support programmes. This is a senior-level contractual role reporting directly to the Managing Director and Chairman of CCIC.

Who Can Apply?

Mandatory Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Technology / Textile Technology / Apparel Manufacturing from a recognised institution
• Lean Manufacturing Certification: Registered Lean Manufacturing Consultant under Ministry of MSME or equivalent recognised certification
• Experience: Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in comprehensive restructuring, modernising staff cadres, and implementing a 10-year strategic vision aligned to market demands
• Mandatory Experience Areas: Institutional restructuring and cadre reform, turnaround management, textile supply chain modernisation, and retail experience
• Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible

Desirable Qualifications

• Academic distinction from a premier institute such as NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) or NID (National Institute of Design)
• Experience with Government Textile Bodies or PSU environment
• Experience in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives
• Digital transformation in textile retail ecosystem
• Lean manufacturing implementation across MSME clusters
• Liaison experience with Central/State Government bodies
• Private equity mobilisation and ecosystem capital infusion
• Digital marketplace development and retail experiences

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (17 April 2026)

Salary

• Consolidated salary based on experience and in line with market trends
• The pay package is all-inclusive — no additional allowances or benefits shall be paid unless specifically approved
• Payment is subject to deduction of applicable taxes (TDS)
• Note: This is a contractual engagement. PF, Gratuity, Pension, LTC, and medical reimbursement are not applicable

Selection Process

Selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Application Screening: Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility. Merely meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee being called for interview. CCIC may apply more stringent criteria for shortlisting.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview. Final selection is based on interview performance and overall profile assessment.

• Lead financial restructuring — clear outstanding vendor dues and optimise procurement cycles for revenue maximisation
• Drive artisan support initiatives — establish frameworks for raw material supply (yarn, dyes, silk) and facilitate design modernisation with craft clusters
• Implement HR reform — oversee Voluntary Retirement Schemes (VRS), introduce performance-linked metrics, and manage staff cadre optimisation
• Oversee digital transformation — transition the artisan supply chain to a digital-first catalogue system and expand e-commerce presence across major platforms
• Manage store rationalisation — convert or close loss-making stores, develop PPP/franchise models, and monetise identified prime properties
• Ensure compliance with Government revival package — oversee utilisation of Rs. 81.15 crore financial support sanctioned by the Government of India and report to the Ministry of Textiles
• Expand institutional and export sales — grow Corporate Gifting verticals, Government Procurement supply, and international export strategy
• Report directly to the Managing Director and Chairman with full oversight of CCIC's financial, HR, and procurement data
