Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik Vishwavidyalaya (BSSRV) is a young state university set up under the BSSRV Act 2020 of the Government of Assam and recognised by the UGC. The university has invited online applications for Guest Faculty in subjects ranging from English, Economics and History to Agriculture, Medical Lab Science, B.Tech branches and new-age areas like AI & Machine Learning and Semiconductor & Microelectronics. Who Can Apply?

General Subjects (Arts, Science, Commerce, Management)

• You must meet the UGC minimum qualification for teachers in universities and colleges (UGC Regulations 2018 and later amendments, including the 2023 amendment).
• In subjects where NET is conducted, a Ph.D or NET is mandatory.

Medical Lab Science

• MD in Pathology / Biochemistry / Microbiology with 2 years of working experience.
• Candidates with an M.Sc in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) and 2 years experience can also apply.

Engineering (B.Tech) and Agriculture

• B.Tech disciplines: qualification as per AICTE / UGC / Government of Assam norms.
• Agriculture: qualification as per ICAR / Government of Assam norms.

Candidates with expertise in related, interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary subjects may also apply. Experience in teaching, research, industry or a social organisation (NGO) is an added advantage.

Salary

• You will be paid on an hourly basis as per the university's guest faculty norms.
• This is a purely temporary engagement — it does not carry a regular pay scale or any claim to a permanent post.

Selection Process

Selection is handled by a Screening / Selection Committee:

1. Screening of applications: The committee shortlists candidates based on qualification and subject expertise.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called to appear before the Selection Committee. No TA/DA is paid for attending.

The interview is likely to be held in the last part of July 2026.
