BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI), an institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, has released Rolling Recruitment Notice THS/RN/01/2026/05-I for filling up project research positions. The notification covers 3 distinct posts across three different research projects on influenza, arbovirus diagnostics, and influenza vaccine innovation. Who Can Apply?

For Project Research Scientist-II (Bioanalytical Chemist):

• Qualification: Master's in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Chemistry or related discipline
• Experience: 2 years of post-qualification experience in handling LC-MS/MS triple quadrupole systems, preferably in CRO or translational research labs

For Senior Project Associate:

• Qualification: Master's degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university with at least 4 years of post-qualification research experience
• OR PhD in Life Sciences from a recognised university
• Desirable: Experience in immunoassay development, molecular cloning, recombinant protein production, protein purification, and cell culture

For Project Associate-I:

• Qualification: Master's degree in any branch of Life Sciences, or B.E./B.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university
• Desirable: Basic knowledge of immunology, cell culture, animal handling, flow cytometry, ELISA

Age Limit

• Project Research Scientist-II: Maximum 40 years
• Senior Project Associate: Maximum 40 years
• Project Associate-I: Maximum 35 years
• The date of interview is the crucial date for determining age eligibility.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get 5 years relaxation. OBC candidates get 3 years. PwBD candidates get 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), and 15 years (SC/ST). Ex-servicemen get relaxation equal to defence service plus 3 years.

Salary

• Project Research Scientist-II (Bioanalytical Chemist): Rs. 67,000 per month plus HRA
• Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA
• Project Associate-I (with CSIR-UGC NET/GATE/Central exam): Rs. 31,000 per month plus HRA
• Project Associate-I (others): Rs. 25,000 per month plus HRA

Selection Process

Selection is through walk-in interview as per the following stages:

1. Document Verification: You must bring latest CV, photocopies of educational and experience certificates along with originals, and a valid ID card.
2. Written Test / Skill Test / Interview: All three may be conducted depending on the post and number of candidates.
3. Screening: If many candidates appear, screening will be done to shortlist those with higher or more relevant qualification and experience.

Note: All candidates must deposit their mobile phones at the reception during the selection process.

• Perform molecular cloning, recombinant protein production and protein purification

• Prepare method development, validation, and analytical study plans
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow good documentation practices
• Handle cell culture, flow cytometry, ELISA and other immunological techniques
• Support instrument qualification, calibration and preventive maintenance
• Oversee maintenance of reference standards, reagents, logbooks and lab notebooks
