BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) works under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This post is in the Clinical Development Services Agency (CDSA) for a research project led by Dr. Nitya Wadhwa. The work is suited for data science, statistics, biostatistics, and applied mathematics candidates who can handle real health research datasets.

CDSA supports clinical research from planning to reporting, including study setup, project management, data management, safety reporting, analysis, and report writing. Essential Qualification

• Option 1: B.Tech., M.Sc., or M.Tech. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or Applied Mathematics from a recognised university.
• Option 2: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, or Applied Mathematics from a recognised university with at least 2 years post-qualification experience in biostatistics or data science.

Desirable Skills

• Programming: Experience in computer programming for data analysis and large dataset handling.
• R software: Previous use of R statistical programming is preferred.
• Analytics: Strong ability to understand, interpret, and present complex clinical data.
• Research output: Ability to prepare tables and figures that are ready for manuscripts.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit is 30 years.
• Crucial date: The date of interview, 21 May 2026, will be used for checking age, qualification, and experience.
• Relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC get 3 years, PwBD get 10/13/15 years as applicable, Central Government servants get up to 5 years, and Ex-servicemen get relaxation as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• The selected Junior Data Scientist will get consolidated monthly pay of Rs. 35,000.
• This is a project position, so extension depends on satisfactory performance and the tenure of the project.

The role is data-heavy and research-facing. You will work with large datasets, analysis-ready variables, manuscript tables, figures, validation checks, and code version control in a server-based environment.

Selection Process
