Who Can Apply?

BPRL Exploration and Asset Roles

• Exploration: B.E./B.Tech in any discipline or PG in Geo-sciences with the required marks, plus 10 years of post-qualification experience including exposure to exploration or reservoir management.
• Asset Manager: B.E./B.Tech in any discipline with the required marks, plus 7 years of work experience including production activities or asset management in the hydrocarbon sector.
• Reservoir Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Technology, Applied Petroleum Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, plus 7 years of upstream oil and gas reservoir engineering experience.

Company Secretary and Finance Roles

• Company Secretary: Qualified Company Secretary from ICSI. Team Leader needs 18 years of post-qualification experience, while Team Member needs 7 years.
• Finance: CA or ICWA final examination cleared in first attempt with required marks, plus 14 years of experience in finance, accounts, treasury, taxation, audit, budgeting, governance, or compliance.

Petrochemicals and WSA Roles

• Petrochemicals: Engineering, polymer, science, Ph.D., M.Sc, MBA, or PGDM qualifications as specified for Head Sales or Technical Officer roles, with 4 to 15 years of relevant experience depending on the role.
• Wayside Amenities: MBA/PGDM, hospitality, retail, marketing, operations, hotel management, B.E./B.Tech plus hospitality, or graduation plus management qualification, with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
• Marks Relaxation: The notification gives lower qualifying marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates wherever applicable.

Age Limit

• Reference Date: Age and eligibility are counted as on 01 April 2026.
• General/EWS Upper Age: Role-wise upper limits are 34, 38, 42, 46, or 50 years.
• Relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC-NCL gets 3 years, PwBD gets 10 years, and eligible ex-servicemen get 5 years as per rules.
• Cumulative Limit: Combined relaxation is normally capped at 10 years; for some senior roles the maximum age after relaxation cannot exceed 55 years.

Salary

• DPE E2: Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1,60,000 per month, with approximate CTC from Rs. 21.07 lakh per annum at the minimum pay point.
• DPE E3 to E7: Pay scales run from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 2,60,000 per month depending on grade and role.
• DPE E8: Rs. 1,20,000 to Rs. 2,80,000 per month, with approximate CTC from Rs. 55.49 lakh per annum at the minimum pay point.
• Benefits: BPCL includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, perks, allowances, retirement benefits, and performance-related pay as per company policy.

• UR / OBC-NCL / EWS / Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 1,180 plus payment gateway charges, if any.
• SC / ST / PwBD: No application fee.

Selection Process

The BPCL selection process may use multiple shortlisting tools based on the number of applications for each profile.
