The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is a Deemed University and one of India's top-ranked private institutes, recognised as an Institution of Eminence by the Ministry of Education. The Department of Pharmacy at the Hyderabad Campus is ranked 2nd in India (NIRF 2025) for pharmacy. This JRF position is funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under grant no. ANRF/ARG/2025/006328/LS and supervised by Prof. Onkar Prakash Kulkarni.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: First-class in M. Pharmacy (Pharmacology)
• GPAT: Valid GPAT qualified candidates are preferred
• Preferred knowledge: In-vivo and in-vitro pharmacology, neuroscience, neuropharmacology, and molecular biology
• Research experience: Candidates with published research papers will have an advantage

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 27 years

Salary

• Fellowship: Rs. 37,000 per month
• HRA: As per applicable ANRF, India norms / Institute norms (provided if hostel accommodation is not available)
• Project duration: 3 years
• PhD opportunity: The selected candidate may be permitted to register for the Ph.D. programme of BITS Pilani, subject to meeting the requirements

• Carry out preclinical experiments related to DPP-1 inhibitor validation for chronic kidney disease

• Prepare research reports, data analysis, and documentation of experimental results
• Assist in molecular biology techniques including protein expression and gene analysis
