  • Registration: You must have permanent registration with the Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) or Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC). Your registration must be current and valid (renewed).

Experience

  • Option 1: One year as Senior Resident in the relevant subject at a recognised/permitted medical college after getting your MD/MS degree
  • Option 2: Three years as Junior Resident in a recognised medical college in the relevant subject, plus one year as Senior Resident in a recognised/permitted medical college. DNB candidates equated to MD/MS as per NMC Clause 4A of Schedule-1. In addition, 3 years teaching experience as Resident/Registrar/Demonstrator/Tutor. Work experience during DNB training counts, plus one year as Senior Resident in a recognised medical college.
  • Mandatory: 1 year Senior Resident service experience is compulsory

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 40 years for General/Open category candidates
  • Maximum age: 45 years for Reserved category candidates (as per Maharashtra Government relaxation rules)

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a fixed salary of Rs. 1,00,000 per month (as per Maharashtra Government decision dated 31/12/2020).
  • This is a contractual appointment for 365 days. The salary is consolidated and fixed — no separate DA, HRA or other allowances.
  • Note: After 365 days, the contract may be renewed for another 365-day period subject to service break as per government rules.

  • Guide and supervise junior residents and interns in clinical work
